Headshots: Truth or Lie?

Me and my friend had a little discussion about snipers the other day.

I claim that with the us sniper u can get headshots by simply aiming at the head, thus killing instantly OR you can hit the body and just give them 95 damage.

He claims that you always give 95 damage with the us sniper no matter where you hit and that ive just killed the enemys in one shot because they were already damaged. He also says that the sniper unlock cant kill with headshot neither.

Whos right? I'm getting my next unlock soon and it might be the sniper. But i dont want it if i cant headshot with it... Please help sorting this out?

Headshot with the m24 = 95 base damage * 3 headshot modifier = 285 damage. You've killed your target twice, congratulations!

Ive shot a few in the face with M24

I also practised on the bots, got around 100+ kills, i just sniped and let the bots have thier fun, but 99.9% of the time i hit in the head are a kill

if you hit the left ear you will get a 15 dmg bonus and thus killing your victim 3 times instead of just two times.

Side of the head when they run across you, ive gotten one shot kills aiming for the helmet

Excuse the ignorrence, but exactly what do you mean by killing them two times, three times, ect with each corresponding location?

You refering to how many times the damage is multiplied depending on where you hit them on the head?

He silly and he think he's a know it all, a lot of my friends claim they know a lot of things about Battlefield 2 but they have no clue. I've just given up to try and prove that I'm correct, let them believe what they will...

1 shot to the head kills no matter what anybody says.
If you mate doesnt agree then jump in a sever with him grab either an M-24 or M-95 point it at his head and pull the trigger, oh and make sure he's a medic so he has full health.

I dont think it matters what weapon you use a headshot is a one shot kill. Ive done it by accident with the pistol to a freshly spawn temmate before now. Also incase your intrested stabing someone with a knife anywere and they die lol a teammate flashed me on purpose so i stabed him in the toe yesterday and he died lol i didnt expect that.

A pistol needs two headshots to kill.
