Unlocking G36E

I've read through the forums and most ppl problems related to weapons unlocked in BF2 not available in SF.

However, i am a BF2 only player.

I mostly play a Medic and unlocked my L85A1 when I was a Lance Corporal.

My friend claimed he unlocked his G36E when he got promoted to Corporal. However, when I turned corporal, this option was unavailable to me. I only get to unlock weapons of other classes but Medic class is not a choice for me.

Is my friend forgetful that he might have unlocked it when he was a Sergeant or is it me?

I am saving the unlock until somehow G36E is an option to me.

If you don't have Special Forces, you can't get it.

you need sf to get g36e as unlock...

You have to have SF in order to unlock the G36E, either your friend has SF or he's thinking of the G36C. You can unlock any gun at any rank as long as you have an unlock option available and for second tier unlocks (from SF) if you have the first tier unlock already.

Ok, i checked with my friend..

He unlocked the Medic's third tier weapon which is the G36E.

He DOES NOT have a SF expansion.

In fact, he wasn't interested in BF2 and his BF2 was a gift from his relatives. He personally told me he is not getting SF.

He is still a Sergeant.

Is this an anomaly?

Impossible.

Again, the G36-E for Medic is only available if you have the Special Forces Expansion.

What immedietely pops into my mind, though, is that your friend had someone play on his account, and that person played a round of SF. Playing one round of SF will make the system think your friend actually has SF, and will enable all the capabilities (such as the unlocks) from then on.

Ask your friend if he let ANYONE borrow his account previously.

he might have done it inadvertently in a LAN gaming cafe.

Yup, it's that simple. Simply playing on an account, using SF, will enable the unlocks in vanilla.

Yep, checked with him.

He first played BF2 in an internet cafe and opened his account from a terminal with SF expansion.

I guess that explains.

its kinda lame but u need sf its lame cause if u got sf u can use the wepons there on the normal bf2 servers

any way if u just kill a dude with the weppon u can go to his body and press G and it will pick up his weppon pack

Is this really a substitute for having the gun available to you as a kit upon spawning? I don't think so.

Yet people offer this as an option for those who don't have sf. Funny I think.

Someone who is new, doesn't know anything, and isn't very good. The "new" part isn't especially required.
