Why isnt there a melee attack ? Rifle-butting !!

Hey

using the butt of your rifle for smacking enemy in the face has proven useful in such games as Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2.

Why doesn't BF2 have this unique feature ? Can this be done with mod-tools perhaps ?

Better than the knife , or maybe a sword ( bayonet ) swipe !

Why isnt there leaning? Why arent there tactical nukes? Youve got a knife, thats basically your melee attack. What else do you need?

This isn't a close quarters game, you'll be lucky enough to use the knife atleast once in a round as it is, good luck getting close enough to an enemy to even swipe them.

There's simply no practical use for this feature. There's your answer.

Yeah he is right and in CoD2, you dont have M249s shooting 200 bullets at you, or M95s following you, or the JSFs or the M1A2 Abraham's and so on. Its just not practical for BF2.

There are ALWAYS opportunities to use the knife... you just have to follow the way of the sword, my friend.
