What I find interesting about this thread is, most fo the time people complain about hating C4 chuckers, and n00bt00bers, dolphin divers, and what not saying things like "it's unrealistic, and spoils my fun playing". What if the person that's chucking C4 is having fun? What if that's what they enjoy doing? So now it's pretty hypocritical of everyone to say you stop having fun, because you're ruining mine, they paid for the game too didn't they?

BF2 is no ones exclusive game, and no one style of play should prevail because then it would be really stale. I agree, and disagree with the OP, one is that they are dumbing it down so the kiddies will stop whining (weakening vehicles, can't jump and fire), yet somethings they are implementing a more realistic manor such (as the prone spamming fixs) yet there is still going to be bunny hopping. They are not removing bunny hopping so you can still Peter Rabbit your way out of tight situations. Well it's funny because everyone was crying about well you can't jump like that in RL OMFG it looks so stupid", now everyone has a chub because you can't jump and fire, but there's still going to be the "stupid looking" bunnies everywhere. To add, there's servers out there that will suit every style of play as it is. You can find ones that are "if you're able to do it, do it" servers, and there's No, this, that, and the other" servers. There' is something for everyones enjoyment, so stop whining and play a round or two for me while I'm at work.

What is wrong with you spec ops guys? You will still be able to place C4 on tanks etc, it will be a bit harder, a little harder. Get over it. It is a challenge, so rise to it!

thats not the point, point is this game is going to became huge sh-it because kids and lamers who have no skills cry, and when they cry they get feeded just like a babies, because its not about devolping the great game but to make even more money so the babies can be happy and advice their friends to spend 20$ as well

like i said when i throw c4 some shoot me before i explode some dont, some dont get a chance because they dont see me, isnt that fair? not to mention tons of them dont think there is wall behind them where they can hide, simple duck would sometimes do but some dont have enough iq points and blame ea for it

and said in first place i am not an invalid so i can throw in the air, the thing is they dont want to arise to challenge to counter spec and the EA feeds the babies who have no single wonder about what is strategy, brain and counter tactic in face to face combat, mabe playing warcraft along could help to devolp some brain tactic manouvers for fps who knows

looks like you only play spec ops as class, and get kills by camping, C4 throwing, ...

The majority of my time has been spent as Spec Ops but I rarely thrown C4 so the patch won't bother me. I mainly ground pound and like spec ops so that you have some defense against armour/APC's. Rather than throwing I like to circle round and sneak up behind the armour to take it out. I'm really looking forward to the patch. The only downside will be not being able to jump to place C4 at a flag to hide it a bit.

but this leads to a game with bunch of medics and now support perhaps, what good do i have from a medium damage carbine in spec of class now, i should camp all day on a distance to get some kills because carbine is no match to other guns from the short distance?!

Do you listen to yourself speak? You're concerned about a few classes being too common after the patch, but you're talking about how poor you're going to do as special ops, which is and probably will remain the most popular class. And the carbines are still damn powerful weapons.

That pretty much sums it up. I'm not too happy with some of the changes, but a lot of them are for the better.

C4 chucking = marginally lame
C4 anti-infantry frisbee = lame
Bunny-hopping CQC noob tubers = lame
Dolphin diving = lame
Insta-proning = lame

My most anticipated change is the time delay for the prone position. There needs to be something to balance out the prone position in this game. As is, you can prone in a split moment and fire your weapon (accurately) immediately afterwards. Prone will still be tremendously useful, but it will have to be used more intelligently.

Yes. The patch is changing game play because people could not adapt, and therefore complained until game play mechanics where changed. Some of us used a different approach to things we don't like when playing, for example, leave and find another server, play servers that have rules you like and admins that enforce them, or adapt playing styles to suit whatever the situation. As I have said before, I would much rather play a more realistic strategic match, but if I find myself in a server full of chuckers, I can chuck with the best of them.

I play Spec Ops, well, look at the stats, a lot, and I could careless about the changes also, but I think we will find there are going to be many situations arise when we wish they hadn't changed the (where I agree with OP) fact that you can throw a small block of C4 or the wall onto a tank, or group of rushing enemy.

i must say i am pretty much frustrated with info i v just readed in the notes

simply idiotic thing in this patch is do nerfs that make no sense, how the hell is grenade supposed to bounce of walls and explode on the ground, is the entire spec op army of the world a group of invalids that cant throw little box of dynamite when jumping?

or do we all suddenly got some spinal disease that we cant prone except like 60 old grandpa in the weelchair, so whats next EA, usmc seals that cant swim?

EA is about to make 1.2 retargrade and i really doubt i ll like it enough to keep playing this game
