well that's not the real point of the thread, but still, other companies suppert the community by releasing new content for free, like Valve. we always get free maps and content, and HL2:deathmatch was all free...

Erm, did you not have to buy HL2 to get HL2: Deathmatch? Seems like you had to spend money, before you got this "free" content. Doesn't that just invalidate your argument?

Same for CSS and DoDS, both you have to buy before you get new content, which is only fair because DoDS was only released with four maps. Valve more or less guarenteed the community they would add new maps over time, so you were buying half the content now and recieving the rest later. No free stuff.
