Sad thing, even if you get a server full of the l33test d00ds you can find, someone will end up being the "noob".

i think it would be a really good idea, being a private myself....
My K/D rate is really bad though because i get killed by a 2nd leutenant or wat-have-you everytime i move......if only privates were aloowed on a server though.....it would be much more balanced

It's playing against these kinds of players that move you up the learning curve though. Playing against your own level all the time wont help you develope those skills you are going to need and call upon instinctivly.

Once I got past the frustration of being corpsed everywhere I went I started to see what I was doing wrong ... still got a lot to learn but I'm getting better.

K/D ratio is not a good judge either.

I can't tell you how many times I have sacrificed myself for the good of the team. I am the one guy that will continue to storm the enemy flag all alone vs 16 guys, a chopper and a tank and keep coming back until i take it. I stop at nothing to try to do the best to win.

Same here. I could'nt really give a toss about the stats, its more about the team for me.

It might help if there were some sort of training in this game. I am not talking about required training like in AA, but something to help you out with learning the game.

We had a "new" player join our squad and we understood his limitations with the game. We also gave him tips and such to help him along. I think training in addition to playing some single player will get the the job done.

This would be extremely difficult to achieve.

KDR could also mean you just fly a plane or only tank whore so that's not a good indication.

Rank/GS means nothing as we all know people can get their by padding and still not be skilled.

Also you can be skilled yet not a team player and a team of average players will beat skilled players who don't play as a team.
