Apparently with the new patch the "The G3A3 weapon has been improved". I'm (hopfully) assuming this means accuracy, and if so it may one again be my go to weapon. Anyone else feel the urge to go back to simpler days where 3 hits is always a kill?

I played as assault the other day and used the G3 instead of the M16/M203, I gotta say the weapon is great even though the lack of accuracy at times. I totally pwned, ended up with like 75 score at Dragon Valley by foot oO Feels pretty good for a guy who don't usually play assault ^^
G3 is, and always will be a good weapon in this game. Nice to see improvements though -

I still run around with my PKM... Those simple days never left.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing what they've done with it. I suspect that extra clip count will increase. It's spread will probably tighten a bit.

G3 should be much stronger and more accurate then it is in the game. I have seen in reports about 1.2 that all support weapons spread is reduced but no one says anything about G3 or SA80 (L85). These were also mentioned in the patch log but all it says is that they will be adjusted. Adjusted can be for better or worse.Comment

The G3 already rocks, I can't wait. If it's improved, hurrah! I can't complain about one of my favourite guns getting a buff, although it does seem unneeded.Comment

Bigger mag and I'll go back to it. I find myself ending up with 9 shots left, knowing if the guy I kill next might be bunny hopping, I reload each time.Comment

Adds a thrill to have to decide whether to reload or not, though. Maybe they could give you extra mags but definitely keep the clip size 20. Accuracy could use a little bit more improvement, too. I'd rather get owned by G3s than t00bs any day.Comment

I agree totally. Mag should be 20 as it is on a real rifle and they should just give it more accuracy and power. I get lot less mad when someone shoots me fair with a G3 but I am getting out of the server when people start shooting their GLs at point blank from a jump.Originally posted by 3LibrasComment

As long as it gets improved accuracy I suspect I will be using it quite a bit in the future. With grenade launchers getting nerfed badly (the minimum distance was needed the blast reduction definatly wasn't) the G3 could become quite a good option.Comment

Grenade launchers will now be what they really are. Ask some soldier would he launch a grenda at point blank range. It would probably kill him and a few people around him. That is the reason it has a distance arming mechanism. I believe same is very much welcome here cause people use that flaw in simulation for their gain.Comment

It doesn't need a bigger clip, just a couple more of them because i constantly find myself with about 3-7 rounds left in my mag and i know i will be screwed if i need to move and fire or fire upon more than 1 target again so i reload a lot and find the clip situation a bit frustrating.
An extra smoke or two would be a nice additional motivation for using it too!Comment
