You know your **** at BF when....!

Just a few of the reasons why I'll stay ranked no. 300,00 in the world:

1) When you spawn in your first game as MEC, throw a grenade and get kicked for 4 T/Ks because you thought the blue name tags were US!

2) Finally get your hands on a tank/apc drive to flag in anticipation of the slaughter, press E by mistake with fat fingers and appear bewilderd amongst enemy soldiers!

3) Same applys whilst passenger in helicopter resulting in long drop usually into the middle of the ocean/ inacessible mountain range!

4) When told to bail out plummeting to earth whilst furiousley stabbing f9/7/0/f9 - anything but 9!

5) Firing 120 rounds at a stationary man then while reloading he calmly crouches and shoots you twice in the head!

6) Being a good squad player by diving amongst my prone comrades to dispense ammo packs but my mousewheel selects grenade!

7) Rushing an enemy close by and rotating between ammopack/knife/packed lunch!

8) Try to enter a tank/apc etc but can't get in and why is he firing at me!

9) Think i'm fast enough to run through that glowing red cicle on the mini map!

10) Fill tank/apc etc with full squad eager for attack and drive straight off the nearest bridge/cliff!

11) Sure i can clear that high wall with my grenade ,then lying there whilst it bounces back and into my breast pocket!

And this are some of my better skills!

Never the less I enjoy playing the game immensley and look forward to any invitations from top notch squads and clans!

I take it you played 1942/nam then.

Yes that threw me off a little when I first played BF2 too.

(For those that do not know, In battlefield 1942/Vietnam, the Allies were ALWAYS blue names and Axis ALWAYS red names, regardless of what team you were on. So if you were Germans then the red names were your teammates)

OMG!!! Dude, ALL of those things happened to me.

I especially love the grenade that comes back at me. This happens to me a lot. haha...

And yes, I've tried to get in an enemy APC. Damn thing wouldn't let me in. Apparently I had just spawned, heard a ruckus, saw bullets fly, and it was there and I ran for it.

Whenever a gunner who has no VOIP tries to type out to me that there's a hostile XY behind us and hits the enter vehicle in the process, I laugh like a pirate. Especially then they manage to parachute into the middle of a raging battle for a flag, ending up knee-deep in tank and hostile soldiers. Or just drop like a stone.

Happens to me so often with buggies and then kissing hostile tanks. Or I alt-tab to check out TS, alt-tab back, there's suddenly a large water surface infront of me, I jump out at the last second (often running myself over in the process) and the poor piggies fall into the water and blow up with the car. :/

Here are some that I've seen:

Attempting to jump over a claymore mine. To quote the Guiness guys.. BRILLIANT!

Anyone who fires their assault rifle at a tank, that isn't trying to distract the operator

Anyone manning a .50 cal that just likes to fire rounds everywhere because they're bored, usually annoucing your presence to the enemy you're trying to sneak up on. Bonus points for them firing uselessly at the tank you're trying to sneak past.

People who decide that just because they forgive the tk, they should charge through your landmine, claymore, c4 you've just placed on an enemy tank, etc

Anyone who says "OMGLOL" more than once every 2 hours.

Actually it's also pretty ... to "distract" the tankist sometimes aswell.
Every so often, a friend will tell me to keep the tank busy while he hurries for the TOW, so I stand there, blasting round after round of PKM into the tank while he wonders WTF and probably laughs his arse off at me.

Or people in a four-bar-health buggy firing the .50 or the tiny popgun at an attack chopper that was looking the other way. GJ guys!
Or specops that insist on accompanying you, then pump hot, hard lead into every exploding barrel in sight in the enemy base while you try to ruin the commander's assets without getting noticed.

Couple ta add:

Furiously shockpaddling a downed player only to figure out that he's an enemy... and his surviving squad mates are standing right the farq there.

Chasing a tank down the street trying madly to lob C4 on it, only you forgot it was your last one and airburst yourself out of existance with an extra left click.

I use mouse and keyboard to fly choppers... wsad..... and just once in a while... when im real exited... i tend to hit the E instead of W....

My gunner usually get very ****ed at me while he spins into the sky thinking "WTF"

Good post, very funny, gets you laughing at yourself which is always good to do.
I think we've all done those things and probably a lot more besides.

I'm always managing to die by grenade, usually running away from my own not the enemies !!!

I like bailing out of the chopper to take the flag and finding myself chopped into little pieces as i land in the rotors of another heli hovering over it.
