Re: the end of pre-owned games
I've got friends that pirate games, while I buy all of mine. Same goes for my music. The only mp3's I have are from discs I've paid for, and the rest are licensed copies from Yahoo Music. However, because of all these licensing schemes, I still suffer. Sometimes my Yahoo music doesn't play, sometimes Battlefield 2 says my password is wrong (trying again a couple of times makes it work). The more rules they put on these things, the less I (and many others) are going to sit back and just take it. Why do I bother spending all this money on stuff to just have it thrown back in my face?
Lose a my CD KEY and suddenly a game is useless.
Accidently change my system time and my music no longer works.
Etc etc. I'm not complaining based on the apparently incorrect info stated earlier, just in general about licensing and limitations.
