I have a 9800pro, 2gb of RAM and a decent CPU (P4 3.4GHZ) and I can run everything on High with 2x AA, 1280x1024 (75hz) with no lag what so ever.

      No you cant.

a friend of mine had a 9800 pro and it would barely run Vietnam with some med/some high settings., much less at 75hz and that high a res.

Just a few more effects that aren't being used to their fullest in BF2. Explosions should be much larger. :p
        lol

Then you should turn down the AA and crank up the effects my friend, because the difference between BF2 and DC is like day and night

lol, bf2 looks nothin like desert combat. youre running a 5900 ultra so no **** it looks the same cuz that card is garbage. goin back to desert combat after bf2 hurts the hell outta my eyes cuz it looks aweful compared to bf2.
and toggle, youre either not running everything on high or youre just bull****ting outta your ass. i had an x850xt platinum card with 1 gig of ram and i did NOT run everything on high, such as shadows and lighting and i still got slight framerate drops in huge firefights and occasional loading becuase of the ram. what youre saying is pure and utter BS. you must not have aa and af turned up or somethin then
