i know neither how to update my bios drivers or my chipset.

a tech savvy friend said dont change my bios if its working, because then it might not. same on the bios site (asus)

also, he has a super computer that cost 5000 dollars and runs the game on highest everything, xfi sound and full anti aliasing and resolution, and DOESNT have a 500 w power supply. its probly 450 or 400. just that sigs really annoying blade

can u do that check i mention b4 to see if you have a agp
should say somthing like asus acelerated gfafix port.
if it does then we have a new problem.sorry to be a pain but i really need to that so can cross this of my list.
reason i ask is to make sure that driver u download (atleast)but some kind of agp driver in youre system.there is a small chance it wasnt there or is a seprate download.
if i can be 100% sure then we will have to start again.

After many hours I sit with a can of stella and a marlboro with an agp enabled x800, frame rates are 50+. Talus you were right it was the chipset, I dl the newer pro version and deleted the existing AGP before installing. Can't believe that for almost 8 weeks I've played BF2 and been disappointed with the card, I knew it was ill...... See you on the field, thanks for the help guys geniuses both of you!!!

yes im pretty sure thats the agp driver.im gona edit this post in say 10 mins
there one more thing to try...finger crooses be back in a few mins

lmao i was looking though some old stuff and came back to ask a noobish q's like does youre card have a molex conector if so change it for another one on youre psu but i can see it all works fine now.good job
