Gspot isn't suppose to play the movie, just give you info about it.

Everyone else in Google that have the same problem as you seem to be able to load it into Gspot.

i no this problem well a native of it..
basacaly a week ago got a cpu of some m8 with same prob.he also had this problem after installing the latest nvida drivers.
but he didnt have a picture on his videos,he only had sound.

i no that differnt to youres as you video play but youre sound doesnt.
but they both requst the same codec from windows media.
this is how he done a quck fix.
he put his old drivers back on and it worked.
note.he had all the codec's beacuse it worked b4 he updated his drivers.
so i just do the basic go back to the last step b4 it stopworking test.and bingo it worked.
then i used driver cleaner to remove any left overe drivers after i uninstalled the old ones.some new drivers just dont seem to like some cards,

i no this my not be the answer but worth a try and add one more to the list of things tryed(hope's this works for you)
