Battlefield 2 Crashes to Desktop on Startup

I recently purchased Battlefield 2, installed without a hitch, but when I went to open the game it showed the black splash screen for a few seconds and then crashed to the desktop. I know that this seems to be a common problem, but I'm hoping to get more specific answers as to how to fix this. The problem was not solved after multiple restarts and re-installs. My video cars is the standars that came in my Dell, and is not "supported" by the game. It does however meet the minimum specs of 128MB. Is this the problem or should my video card work since it meets minimum requirements. All other requirements are also met.

it doesn't matter if it has 128mb of mem. older cards can't support new shaders, etc that bf2 has...(so i've heard.)
right click on desktop>>>properties>>>settings. your video card should be listed there under display.

My video cars is an Intel 82519G/GV/910GL Express Chip. Probably can't run BF2 because it came in the computer. Any suggestions on a inexpensive, good video card that will work in an HP(I'll use my dad's computer to make mods to.)

The EAsy info showed all green checks indicating that it met minimum requirements. I've checked the refresh rate, and it's at 60Hz. Maybe EAsy info doesn't test card compatibility, just the memory.

I dont think an Integrated video will run BF2. You simply need a graphics card.

That would make sense now that I think about it. Any suggestions on a 128MB or higher supported graphics card that will run BF2 without any problems? And just to make sure, compatible in an HP desktop with Windows XP as the OS.

thats a sign of a graphics card thats not good enough for bf2

mine doesnt have green checks next to my vid card or my sound card, but they work fine. so the easy info isnt always right.
