    OK all you Hardware guru's

I am a guru myself, but I am having a hard time deciding what new Video Card to buy.
    Here are my choices:

    PNY VERTO 6800GS (Factory OC'ed)
    Core Clock Speed: 470 MHz
    Memory Speed: 1.1 GHz ($199)

    Sapphire X1600Pro ($200-$150)

I am a diehard ATI fan, but ATI needs to step up, I mean dang, the specs vs. price war is being won by nVidia.

I currently have a Power Color X800GT PCIE

Actually i take that back, get the 6800 GS, although the x1600 gives a better 3DMark05 score, it doesnt perform nearly as well as the 6800 GS does in most games. Now i dont knnow how much better the x1600 pro is from the XT, but if there isnt much between them, then go for the 6800 GS or even the x800XL.

Here is a link for some benches on those three cards.

That is why I am considering an nVidia card.

Save your money another 2-3 months. Wait until the 7800gtx drops. That card right now is the one to beat, without going to 512, or sli.

Yea, currently nVIDIA is slightly ahead of ATI in graphics. But, waiting a few months, I expect ATI may take the lead and then handed back to nVIDIA. But, just research and check about the future cards to see if the new ones may be worth buying.
