Edit: Maybe I'm dumb because it appears you didn't mean OC. What is "AC"? It's still funny though

hmm thats very odd cause i have a 6600 GT and get 40-50 fps in 64 player servers, especially rathre non computer intensive maps like karkand.

even tough ones like warlord are smooth on 64 with my card. and not only that, but they also seem to run nearly as smooth on all high settings with textures to medium and 2x anti aliasing.

i would say somethings strange with your comp if you have lower FPS than mine for same settings.

The silencer? I was under the assumption that the X850XT PE (which I have) basically came with a silencer-like kit. I didn't realize that there was much of a difference between the ATI stock and the actual silencer. But why would you use a fan at all with liquid cooling?

Hmmm... Karkand is the most intensive for my computer. At least... it appears to be. I use it as a benchmark whenever I change settings, update drivers, overclock, tweak etc. I've got my (like four) favorite maps and generally don't play the others unless I've had a really good online game on one after following the map rotation to it. For example: I hate Wake Island, so I really have no idea what the peformance hit is like. Also, I'm not used to Mashtuur since it doesn't have single player either, so same deal.

In retrospect, Dalien Plant plays the best for me. I can fill it with 250 bots and still get decent fps.

The liquid cooling is just for the CPU. The card itself stays cool with the aftermarket cooler, plus it looks badass(like armor).

Gotcha. What kind of overclock were you able to achieve? Nice case, looks like the same one my roomate's wife has.

Im seriously about to go crazy here. People are saying they get 80-99 FPS that is just GAY. The only thing i noticed is their processors which is AMD. im hoping it isnt my processor.

im going to reinstall right now and post what happened.

and wtf is with this OC'ing thing? after overclocking the card my windows player stopped working. it doesnt play any videos anymore (no, not porn). I tried setting it back to default but still the same problem. any ideas?

The 2 things holding you back are your motherboard(Intel boards run very conservative), and you should get at least another 512 stick of ram) I know its not your processor, because in my other rig, I have a P4 2.6 Northwood, and 1 1/2 gigs 333, and X850 pro. And I get decent frames on that. I also have fresh installs of my OS on both. I believe you probably have all sorts of internet crap that isnt directly affecting, but it is definetely not helping.

My suggestion is to slide your settings back for now and do some research instead of asking for a quick fix here. I'm not saying it's wrong to ask here. I just get the impression that there's a lot you could learn from reading some guides (which are hundreds of pages long). It's one of those "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" things. Sure, we could tell you some ideas and it might help, but you'll have no idea what you actually did. But if you read some guides, do some trial and error, you'll be surprised how fast you soak it up. Start at tweakguides.com. Also, my roomate got a book that's by the people from tweakxp.com, and it looks pretty decent so tweakxp.com the site is probably decent. It's mostly customization stuff, but some tweaks I believe. That first site is your best bet, it's where I've learned almost everything that I currently know.

However, if that's not your cup of tea, and you'd really just rather someone else figure it out for you, I'm going to be starting a free service next week in these forums where I take your problem and do my best to figure it out for you. It's going to help me learn a lot more a lot faster. Hopefully you want to do it yourself (for your sake) but I'd be more than happy to help you one on one, or I'm sure there's other people here who wouldn't mind either. Just remember to be really nice and not freak out on people when some things don't work!
                          ----------------------

edit: about your pic, yeah that's absolutely normal really. That's about what I get in Karkand online with my single player specs (all high, 6xaa, 1280x1024), and technically I think my computer is better than yours. Not bragging, just saying spec wise.
