1) G36E (accurate, deadly, and you get medic packs)
2) SCAR-L (insanely accurate on semi, little scope, and C4 for vehicles...)
3) G3A3 (deadly assault weapon, and you dont get accused as being a "noob")
4) F2000 (accurate and deadly, but you get accused as being a "noob" for using the grenade launcher to take out people at a distance...)

I have the G-36c/ G-3/PKM/ L-85/M-95/G-36E Of those I use mainly the G-3, and the L-85.

L85 for me. I hated it at first, but mostly play medic so I've gotten used to it and use it all the time now. Looking forward to the patch and the increase in accuracy.

lol G36C for me that is such a good weapon . i think the f2000 has to much of a hard kick when u shoot it but its good as a 1 shot kill lol i once took a sniper out with it . from long range .

G36e definately the best. DAO12 is great as well, M95 and MG36 are also nice, cant stand the accuracy on the PKM.

Hi all sorry to interrupt your conversation but im bf2 virgin, just got the game today but not sure what patches i need and what they actually do to the game? do they give extra maps on single player as well as online games??? can anyone help ?????

I love the G3..its an amazing weapon when you know how to use it correctly. Both of the med unlocks (L85 and G36E) also rock.

MP-7 for the win, i love it!

Finally, somebody who knows their stuff(J/K everyone else). The MP7 is awesome for CQC, the rate of fire makes the hair on my neck standup. Only problem is clip size is too small, and they don't give you enough mags. DAO-12very close second!

You should wait until after the patch to pick your unlock, and you should get/get access to SF guns. They are giving out *new* upgrades for the sniper and AT, but--as with SF--you PROBABLY will have to get the first unlocks before you can get the new ones. Therefore, you should wait on the new patch to decide. Having said that, I have unocked everything except the engineer and support kits, and I use:

1)DAO-12 (now AT has 2 ideal killing situations: short range against infantry and against vehicles at any range, and can knock out APC's and Tanks with help/practice. You can mow down 3-4 enemy in down in close alleys, and still be the last turkey standing--if you don't get noob toobed first. Playing MEC on Karkand, you can camp the alleys/heavily trafficked areas and 3-shot kill people as they walk by, and then take out the jeeps, harass the APC's, and scare the tanks a little.)
2)G36E or L85 (I'm fairly good with either medic gun, but with the L85 I hang back, shoot, rush in, heal/revive my guys, and then hang back and snipe; with the 636E, I'm in the middle of things--the G36E is fairly potent at range on single shot)
3)G36C--I hardly ever use the SCAR-L because on full auto the shots are just all over the place.
4) M95...worthless unless you are very, very good at sniper or don't mind Tking for helo's/aircraft (the noob ejector function)

u allready have the l85a1, so i strongly suggest to get the G36E cuz its just the best gun out there in my opinion, u can actually kill a guy inside 4 shots from anydistance.

u shouldnt have posted that here, but you need the 1.12 patch for most of the servers. i heard you should get all the patches but i only have the 1.12. You wont be able to get any ranked servers without this patch. But i also heard the 1.12 patch makes the game more glitchy.

If you want to play on ranked serves, which most people do, you need to get the 1.12 patch. Go here to find a server to download it.

This patch will fix everything in all of the previous maps. You will get an extra map (Wake Island 2007). There were some fixes in 1.03 and 1.12 added a couple of more and gave BF 2 support for SF guns.

The Wake Island Map is can only be used in MP and there is only one version of it (64 player size).

If you have/get the expansion pack, Special Forces. You need to install the patch after you install Special Forces. This expansion pack gives you another tier (level) of guns to unlock. Strangely enough, they can't be used in SF, only vanilla BF 2 (I wonder why that is? ).

There will be another patch 1.2 coming out soon, most thing early February to coincide with the release of EA's booster pack.
