Nah, u just have to play a round in a ranked SF server, and of course score at least one point, wait for it to update ur stats, then u'll be prompted iwth a unlock screen if ur at the rank of Sergeant or Above. U cant use the SF unlocks in SF itself though, only in vanilla BF2.

How do u know if its an SF server, if u dont have SF?

god i love all the unlocks apart from the l85...
the dao is great and can plow through anything...thepkm does the same...the g36c is soo accurate... the m95 is ok (id pick an m24 over it) but on china or mec i pick the mp5 and its ok...the jackhammer was ok ive picked it up a few times but it only has 7 shells... and i liked the g3 until one day it seemed to go all "I dont want to kill ppl for you anymore" i probably tried to snipe with it on single shot hehe

i love all the sf unlocks as well so...

For the SF unlocks i dont understand how to get them if u dont have the expansion pack. Can u explain it to me?

If you dont have SF get the g36c... If you have sf, get the g36e...

Too bad man, u have to play in a SF ranked server to get the new SF unlocks. And since u don't have the SF xpack, u can't do it urself, so u gotta ask a friend to do it for u.

The Jackhammer or the G36C. The Jackhammer makes it fun to be an engineer, and the G36C helps out alot. Though the M95 is still a "must-have", even if it isn't that good.

g36c is sweet you can snipe ppl better than the m24

My favorite would have to be the G36E. I enjoy playing Medic and this gun made a big difference in CQC compared to the L85A1. That 3 round burst is lethal up close and personal.

No talk of the PKM!? The PKM is my fav unlock, I use it all of the time, and it really makes me a better player, before the PKM my KDR was about .4, now its .85 and rising every day.

Unless your rank is on the higher end of the ladder, you should think of unlocks more along the lines of what kits you like to play.

My favorite kit is the AT. I accidentally unlocked the DAO for my first unlock. After using it, it's a "must have" for that kit. Granted it's not effective at long to medium distances. But when things get up close and personal, it's your "little friend".

I hate the L8. Granted it's a great "sniping" gun, I think it sucks in close quarters. Since I have the G36e gun, I use that when playing the medic kit.

My other used kit (when taking over the enemies main base) is the Spec Ops kit. I like the M4 and wouldn't mind using that, but the G36c is a better weapon.

Think kit first, unlock second.

Hi, ive only unlocked the L85 cause i like to be a medic and im British, the gun isnt that powerfull compared to the G36E but it does have a strong scope and is full auto. Man going around with the M4 is cool, not too effective though, like the sound. Im gona make SGT later on so Mp7 (Anti tank) is definately next

After all my research the top unlocks are!!

1. G36C
2. DAO-12
3. G36E
4. F2000

Thats all you need. Everything else is just an "alternative". These are "upgrades".

1. antitank (DAO) no question the bog standard antitank guns are all ****

2. support (PKM) so much better than the rpk thingy

3. spec ops - both upgrades are better than bog standard
