Right Im going to try and find my windos disk! Thanks guys you were really helpful! I'll be back @ around 8 if all goes to plan. one more thing should I format the drive? Is there a specific program for formatting the HD?

IMO there's nothing like a fresh install of Windows.

If you boot from the Windows CD, during installation you get the change to format and create partitions.

This will of course mean you have to backup elsewhere what you need to save.
