Problems with Graphics

I could do with some help. I'll start from the top. My system is:
ECS KN1 SLI EXTREME Mobo
Winchester 939 AMD 64 3500+
2x 6600GT 128mb PCI
1GB DDR400 ram
Running @ 1280x1024@75Hz

I installed the mobo last week and installed another 6600GT in the new mobo, ever since then I have been having graphics glitches, black spots keep appearing for example where some grass should be or a building will be black. I would bet it's your PSU, what'sthe amperage rating on the +12vrail?

Also have you testted each card indvidualy just to make sure you didn't get a bad GFX card?

How do I find out the amperage on the +12vrail. I know each card works beacuse I tried them both on my old mobo before I brought my new mobo.

It should say the amperage rating on a sticker on the side of the PSU.

Yeah, it has 31A. You you have both PCI-e connectors puugged in to the video cards? (Assuming the 6600gts have PCI connectors).

A little off topic, but why did you decide to go with 2 6600gts?

Yes they are both connected with the SLI bridge thing, I went with 2 6600GTs because I had one and a friend gave me another on the cheap.

No notthe SLI brige, the PCI-e power connectors.

The 6600gts may not have them but most PCI-e cards do.

There are no power connector on the cards. The power comes off the mobo I think.

Most of your nvidia nforce4 chipset drivers dates look like they are older than the current nforce4 chipset driver, which is from 26th October 2005. Many of the driver dates from your dxdiag on nforce4 are from early 2005 or from 2004.

The latest is 6.70 for nforce4:

I might be wrong about the dates as mot all drivers change in a chipset driver package.

When you got the new mother board you reinstalled Windows right?

Right Im going to try and find my windos disk! Thanks guys you were really helpful! I'll be back @ around 8 if all goes to plan. one more thing should I format the drive? Is there a specific program for formatting the HD?
