    No, I think he was referring to the fact that the card was originally PCI-e and then how nVidia made it AGP by putting a bridge chip, which was the opposite of what they used to (making AGP cards into PCI-e).

    Anyway, hope you get your help/answer soon and hopefully have better results than I did.

        HSI interface is the technical name for the bridge.

          oh yeh... i read somwere that bf2 doesn't work after you install new hardware.. reinstalling bf2 might be your solution like a guy previously mentioned

            Thanks everyone. I reinstalled once again, went back to older drivers and simply renamed that Battlefield 2 profile. Now the game works fine . Hell of a lot of trouble just to change a vid card though lol.

              when i installed my 6600GT i didnt need to reinstall, but i did when it randomly stopped working after i hadnt played it for a month heh.

              its hilarious how i just kind of accepted that a game like BF2 would probably just stop working if you didnt play it every few days hehe.

                Yeah, I guess over that month, random lines of code were strung together and the game effectively created a mind of it's own. It subsequently decided that it would stop working and pursue a career as a frisbee lol
