They have updated the requirements for the service ribbons to 20 hours and an unknown requirement. I still think people are just guess at this point though. But if I had to accept one theory, I would say the requirement is 50 hours played on all of a teams maps.

I aint played any map for 50 hours and I got two ribbs.

Maybe 50 wins for each army

it's not 50h on one map, it's 50h on the army's maps , for example SAS has night flight, ghost town and warlord, if you have 50h combined on those maps you get the SAS ribon

20h on the army isn't corect ether, I have 17h as mec and have the ribon .

I think it's just 5h duty on army, and 50h on army's maps .

Everyone has it, and will continue to have it until DICE changes the code so it allows more than 20 ribbons to be displayed in BFHQ.

Yeh, how do you get your SF airborne ribbon if there arent any planes in SF you can fly

It's impossible to get because there are no planes. Maybe it we will be able to get it in the booster packs?

EA has said there won't be anymore free content after this next patch with the two additional weapons unlocks, and the booster packs seem to be stand alone expansion packs and have nothing to do with Special Forces. So I guess this ribbon will just remain impossible to get.

I do agree that the service ribbons must be at least 50 hours time played in theater. I got the SAS service ribbon at exactly 50 hours time played on SAS maps.

This guy - DemonOFhatred - has the Spetznatz ribbon, and he's played only 15.42 hours.

He only has 15 hours as Spetz, but he has well over 50 hours played on the Spetz maps. That's why he has the ribbon.

As people have begun to collect their service ribbons, it has become apparent that BFHQ will only display 20 ribbons. Are you aware of this, and is it going to be fixed in the next patch?

Armando: It has already been addressed. If you launch Special Forces, you can toggle between the BF2 awards and SF awards. If you are playing regular BF2, there is no toggle.

Apparently that question went right over Armando's head. Looks like this upcoming patch doesn't fix this bug.
