Anyway, Yep, Commander assets esp. Uav should be awarded 2 points. Repairing assests should also be 2 points. Nough said.

you guys have a legitiment point, however if supply drops couldnt fix it and an engeneer had to come that would eb better for me. so you could still repair it but not nearly as easily

To be entirely honest, I think it's because you're used to SF.

I recently went to regular to try out my SF unlock in vanilla, and I found it much easier than I was used to. I think it's because SF has better players (I'm generalizing so don't get offended if you didn't buy SF, you are still probably better than me. I'm talking about the lil noobs).

Anyway, if you want to sneak alot I recommend Ghost Town and Warlord, because both offer opportunities for stealth and long-range killings.

Sorry man but I find that the high-calibur players play vanilla, not SF. I've bumped into some good SF players, but the real kings hang around in Vanilla.

...Sneak in, and immediatly blow the UAV and the Radar, that way they can't spot you using either. Then wait, kill off anyone you see, if you are good enough you should be able to stay alive for quite some time. As for them dropping repair boxes to fix.......

True, but ive got a little secret for you. Caps, mouse over assets, right-click, spotted.

The brilliant part about that is, if someones popping your goods, a few random clicks around the base will likely reveal them.

I love doing exactly that. Sneaking into the oppositions main and blowing their assets. Then I'll ask for a crate, resupply and rig the jets and heli's with c4. Resupply again so Im full, hide, wait then baboom to the unknowing pilots once they are in the air. Always accompanied by a "Are you ready 'playername' for the big bang" or my personal favourite "Should I or shouldnt I 'playername'?" to which their response is usually "Should you what?" right on que...Baboom. All of which which leaves them puzzled and probably ****ed off :).Then I trundle off to blow some more assets. Rinse and Repeat. Shame I dont get the chance to do this more often, it appeals to my cheeky sense of humour. I do find that it is more fun in Vanilla but that could be because in SF Im too busy ziplining it.

Besides, you can't spot people unless you have a good idea of where the air, and like stealth in any instance, blowing things up gives your enemy a good idea of where you are. Unless you detonate your c4 after you are really far away from the asset.

Stealth is dead. Only diversion and luck remain.

:laugh: That's funny, I wish I had said one of those. The sad part is that c4ing aircraft very rarley works as the vast majority of times I've tried I get shot in the back as I run away. It's actually surprising how hard it is to survive in an enemy uncappable base. You'd think the only people there would be jet campers who avoid fighting on foot as much as they can (and therefore suck at it due to lack of practice) and some tank whores (who again, avoid fighting on foot and therefore suck at it due to lack of practice)

I remember another time on Operation Clean Sweep as MEC we were getting our butts kicked by enemy jets, so I organized a squad to get over there, kill some plane campers, keep their jets out of the air, and maybe steal the black hawk while we were there. Didn't work out very well as the jets rarley got shot down in the first place, but we were able to steal their black hawk, destroy some assets, and kill a few plane campers. I once even parked a helicopter in front of their jet runway to block the jets. My score ended up sucking but it was loads of fun.
The reason I bring this up is because, with their air superiority, being in a vehicle meant you were dead meat. So I would swim there. Another instance of stealth prevailing.

Well, I don't agree with you there. The "real kings" just know where people are gonig to come from, this results in very predicable gameplay. In SF, since the grapple/zip line, The "real kings" would be more defensive/on the lookout type players as you have no clue where the enemy could be until they give themselves away.

Anyways, how can there be "real king" players on this game? Most people only have good skills in one area. This is also a team game. The real kings should not be one person, but a team of people. There's no way in hell that one of your "real kings" could go infantry combat agianst a good squad.

I'll sum it up, players in VBF2 like more basic warfare where most things you use just kill and you know the only ways into areas so you can guard them.

BF2-SF players are more tactical/infantry combat based where there's things (flash bangs, tear gas, hook, zip line) that allow for this type of gameplay to be possiable.

As for the "real kings"... There isn't a real king, and for the most people's trackers I've seen on this forum, hardly anyones K/D ratio is 1 or higher... I, for one, can say mine is.

I rig enemy planes and helicopters with C4 and then use global chat to address the pilot:

"Hey <Playername>?"

"What?"

*BOOM*

It's also fun to kill snipers, then grab their kit and leave claymores at the spot where they died. Many return to find you and end up running into their own ordinance.

I also like to destroy the Sat Scan, then place 1-2 more C4 on the destroyed asset. When an enemy engineer arrives to repair, I just blow it again - killing the poor guy and keeping the radar down.

If you are in a jet you can drop bombs on the commanders assets, it takes a few bombing runs but it's better then sneaking into enemy territory and getting yourself killed for 1 measly point.
