I'm looking at that headset myself. Found it for $79.99.

But they are NOT 5.1. Just standard stereo headset.

I use the logitech 250 not the usb model. I went through like 7 sets of headphones before i found and use these. I can wear them through like 5 hours easliy and not worry about how my head feels. And also setup is nonexistant, and the mic is crystal clear.

      Just my two cents though

Sennheiser PC140, amazing quality, but pretty expensive. But for me it's worth it since I only use a headset (I got a 5.1 set, but hardly ever use it).

I use a headset made by labtec also. The best part is it weighs in at about 6 ounces (about 150 grams). Only cost 20 bucks. When I do sound work though I have a nice set of Bose headphones and use a Sure Mic. No point in going to far overboard. . . . .Red

            Top of the list.
            Be here tomorrow, hopefully.
I too use the Medusa 5.1 Surround Sound headset, excellent quality, very good mic. Got it for a great price on ebay.

I put in a bit of research before getting it and it was a Toms Hardware review which sealed the deal for me.

From your sig, it appears you care a lot about performance. NOTE your expensive and amazing headphones are totally bypassing your expenisive soundcard. I guarantee you that some cheap headphones like the Plantronics Audio 90s will blow away your USBs by levaraging the soundcard, "hardware" audio game setting, enabling EAX, and turning up your audio quality. Why bother with USB if you have a decent sound card. Software rendering blows compared to a decent soundcard.
