I hate sniping if I'm on a team becides the US since all of the sniper rifles suck except for the M24. It's so accurate and with accuracy comes power. I definitely think EA needs to improove the other sniper rifles (not the M95) with other teams. I have had some pretty cool experiences with sniping. Such as a buggie driving along at top speed and hitting the driver between the eyes. I have a lot of trouble aiming with the M95 because of that bulky cross hair. I usually only use it if I'm going to snipe the US team on their carrier since I can get the drivers in the helicopters.

With accuracy comes power? More like with accuracy comes accuracy.

And the m95 needs to be more accurate, so do the other sniper rifles.

I am so sick of aiming at someone's head and having the shot go 2 feet to the side, having them turn and hose me. Its complete bull$***.

The m24 may be more accurate than m95, but its still too inaccurate as well...

One tip I dont see here that really helped me learn a lot about the sniper class was to hunt down the enemy snipers when ever possible. You know, your sitting there looking for targets and bang you hear the sniper rifle (M95). Thats when its time to go hunting. You will learn a lot about what most snipers do and be a benifit to your team. The only other thing I can tell you that the other guys didnt is try and put at least one shot into every enemy soldier that comes in range. To get the kill assists. For me the sniper class can be boiled down into 3 things 1.Spot 2.move 3.kill in that order. See ya in game. . . .Red

I love sniping, today i was going completely godlike on the MEC team on Sharqi. I must have been doing something right, because people were dropping like flies, moving, non moving..

The SVD comes to its right in urban combat, its rate of fire makes it usefull at medium range, the lame accuracy doesnt really matter, since your targets are much bigger in your scope. :p

The m24.. gods be praised, this gun ROCKS. Use it right and you WILL be that sniper from the movie, you will be god, if you see some-one, his life is in your hands,they will drop, because its your devine will!

Seriously, this gun does not need a boost in the patch, the svd/chinasniper does but for god sake, dont boost the m24..

Idk call me crazy but I well with the m95, headshots come aplenty within reasonable range.And that thing growls more then a bb engine with open headers nice!

Sadly, snipers only excell at one thing, and that is ejecting n00bs from your seat in a chopper/jet. Just play sniper when you are using vehicles and u'll have it in no time though.

the chinese sniper rifle (type 88) and the SVD doesnt suck, u just dont know how to use them...

Yea... im gonna agree with this guy...

Sniper for me... 3 options.

1. Lone wolf, when im feeling anti social and just want a relaxing camp experience annoying the crap out of what ever base I decide to camp on

2. Aggresive sniper... either as Lone wolf or Squad leader... I will assault.. I will cap flags.... Tip when capping : drop your claymores around the flag while capping... most of the time it will save your ass when charged by 2 mad DAO shooting mofos.. Just remember to chuck a nade at them after you capped, otherwise your team will get pretty ****ed when they spawn on them:laugh:

3. Sniper in a team... I will take the rear end of the troop and provide cover for the other grabbing the flag... I will provide watch letting them know anything that moves (which I cant take out)..


Depending on my mood for sniping, I usually go one of these ways.

512mb RAM
Geforce FX 5500GT (which isn't even on the "supported cards")
I rarely go over 30fps. Which makes sniping hard.


What I love about the snipers in MC is the rifle itself - It makes sniping fair. Theres no recoil and its a one hit kill, but the time it takes to ready the next shot makes it fair - if you hit, the enemy is dead, if you miss, he has time to move. If BF2 was like that it would be great.

Bah, if I might say. You, good sir, are mistaken. I can't count how many times I've shot a person of the type sneaky C4ery lurking behind a friendly tank. If a tank is supported by snipers (decent one, that is..) you have pretty good cover from infantry.
