I have never hit one with the the missiles on the cobra but I did take down a plane using the missiles of the F15...my pilot was chasing a plane and it was about 150M away and turning hard when I took it out....I was quite proud of that one

Never really had a helicopter pilot that set up a missile attack against one so I haven't tried. I know that I have never been shot by a tv missile while in a plane though :)

Rather use the missiles on armor or other choppers.

Yeah since you have to have a good pilot and a great sense of where that airplane is going to fly if you want to shoot it down.
