I believe that they count towards combat score but not global score . I'll use my stats as an example :-

Global - 59093
Team - 12336
Combat - 44244
Commander 15671

You would expect that your Global score would be easy to work out, just add the others together but if you do that I would have a Global score of 72251 but there is a difference of 13158 which I would suggest may be the points for arty kills .

Once again, the commander points are just average of the team points, nothing more. I've capped flags as a commander, I've defended flags and yet, instead of earning 4,3 points, I've gotten 1 point which was only the average of my team during that time. Another thing that probably changed since the new patch: if you win, only the points that you earned during the time you were commander will be doubled. If you started playng something else and after a while you became commander, the previous points won't be doubled. And here is another personal example: I was playing wake island and was up to 192 points. Few minutes before the end, I noticed that the commander has disconnected. Since we were winning, I got greedy and applied for commander hoping to get close to 400 points. WRONG. During the last 2 minutes I capped a flag and killed 2 enemies which should've equaled to 8 points if I stayed squad member and I would've finished the round with 200 points even. Unfortunately I received only 3 points while commander and finished the round with 195 points (my record btw). Of course they didn't get doubled becasue I wasn't commander long enough.

In the past it counted but now after the patch nope the kills don't count. I figure if the commander can spam artillary and get no kills but everyone gets deaths tallied it should also be removed. As you can see my global and combat scores are very unbalanced because of commanding. Now I notice the spot is empty alot of the times because the kills no longer count.
