    Either a bug or a graphics prob. . .

Hey y'all, ok, so I'm playin BF2 SF, everything running smoothly, everything perfect, then I notice, when you zoom in with your guns, it's REALLY WHACKY!!! For example, If your a sniper, and you use the sniper scope, the Crosshairs on the scope are missing, ok, not missing but really darn transparent so you can barely see them, this happens with other things with scopes like that, kinda like the F2000, also if you use the M-16, it will show the sight that's at the tip of the gun, but not the iron sights.....

I was thinking it might be my driver, so I uninstalled my ATI whatever and installed some driver thing, and.....sigh* pretty much went in over my head, so now, everything is the exact same, everything and the prob is still there, so If anyone knows how to solve this I would be much obliged!:hmm:

........."get a new video card"............ GRRRRRRRRRRR I wish I could but you know what, I have the misfortune of having a Dell Inspiron 6000, 1.6 CPU, 2 gigs RAM, and a X300 radeon mobility 64MB!!!!! So I can't change it, and I'm not gonna be able to get a new computer for a while, I'm doomed, not to mention the xl1800xl is REALLY expensive from what I hear, and the 7800GTX is aperently better. . . . .

Wow how in the world did you get it to run!!! I tried getting BF2 to run on my temporary computer and its got 128 mb card(installed in motherboard) and I can't run it at all, some people get all the luck.

well, cards installed with the mobo, usually cant game very well. evenif they ARE those new nvidia built in ones. and as for the 64mb x300, i could have sworn bf2 requires 128mb, you must be getting like 2 fps, unless its HyperMemory, where in that case it would steal memory from your 2gb of ram, to give itself more...

Well, like I said, it's been working absalutly fine untill yesterday, yes it is a miricle it plays BF2 at all, but I think the reason it runs this, and not some 128's is because, there are certain cards that it will not take, like the X300 is the worst ATI card that works for BF2 so I think it kinda fooled the compy into thinkin it was a 128:p but mine is hyper memory, I'll get some screens in a little while, I've had alot of people get on to me and calling me a lier because they don't believe I can run it on this crappy card, well, if it couldn't, why would I waist my time making up this story? I would admit if I had a 128 or 256:hmm: I'll be back soon with screens!:)

yeah see, its hypermemory, the same thing as turbocache for nvidia. The card comes with memory on board, but then, during games and such, the HyperMemory uses RAM as video memory. That is why it works, because he has 2gb of ram.
