I am going to laughf my ass off at all the noob-cannoners after the patch.
Watching them in mid air panicing while I blow them away. I cant wait to see all the bunny-hoppers and dolphin divers who get owned because they cant shoot in mid air anymore.

90% of all aircraft are pretty flimsy. I mean we do have exceptions to this like the Warthog, but the aircraft in BF and BF/SF are pretty flimsy in reality - but not in this game(they're all Warthogs!) When a tank round doesn't drop a heli in one shot there is a problem. I have seen first hand what a tank round from an Abrams does to a chopper when it is hit and you'd be lucky to find a piece that measured more than a couple of feet long after it is blown into a million pieces.

In BF, jets can take more than one hit to drop with a stinger and we all know how much BS that is. Most modern fighter/bombers are all fly by wire with hydraulics to help steer them and if any of those lines get damaged that plane will become pretty much unflyable.

On rare occaisions a planes vitals are missed and it just gets some nasty holes shot through it, but if a missle hits a modern fighter...it's coming down. It would be nice if jets were more like those in reality.

Thats because Battlefield 2 isn't about realism, there are other games that are, like rainbow 6 games, but Battlefield is not one of those realistic games.

maesto you are such a noob man, bunny hopper are part of the game, as are dolphin divers and "noob tubers". you are just one of the hundreds of noob pubstars who complain about anything to make them feel better after getting owned. its all part of bf2. its like saying awpers in counter-strike ruin the game, both are compltely wrong

They were never intended to be as exploitive as they are. And with over a million copys sold, my guess is that YOU are the in the minority. So learn how to be a soldier instead of a Super Mario.

I'd say punishing has gone down drastically since the game first came out.

Thats because Battlefield 2 isn't about realism, there are other games that are, like rainbow 6 games, but Battlefield is not one of those realistic games.

Nor is it a game that tries to be unrealistic. If something is messing up the gameplay (like overpowered airpower) EA is supposed to fix it. And to say BF2 isn't about realism is flat out untrue. Put down the Operation Flashpoint and trying playing Serious Sam, or even pac-man, or Worms: Armaggeddon. Put even those games have some regard to realism. For example, in worms, when an explosive weapon hits the terrain, it makes a hole in it. It's all about priority.

But one question, since when are there jets in SF?

I'll agree with everything you said except that part about BF2 not being about realism, because its not, it follows some real world rules but thats not what the games about.

I think your problem is you have been playing on the wrong servers. Whilst we can't fix some of the issues you have with the game, that's up to EA atleast we try and make the game as enjoyable for everyone as possible by eliminating some of the problems you are experiencing.

Jump on our server and try it out, if you can get in that is.

This is so true. It really all depends on where you're playing. The privately run servers tend to have more mature players on them because they know they'll get kicked if they act like jack asses. It's actually part of the reason I love this game so much. You never know what you're going to get put in the middle of when you get into a map.

Bunny Hoppers and noob tubers undermine the ethics of First person shooters like BF2. They are not acceptable and these people will have to learn to shoot like men instead of muppets after the patch is released. Luckily the vast majority of BF2 players know that bunny hoppers and noob tubers are unacceptable. That's why it's been eliminated in up and coming Patch due to players demanding it.

I'd like to be able to actually guide the anti tank missiles for longer than a second. As soon as you shoot no matter how many times you click to guide it, you lose a visual on the scope as you reload instantly. It's really annoying.

Well said about bunny hoppers/dolphin divers - these people are a waste of server slots imo.

What possible enjoyment can someone get from hammering away at jump/dive keys? Knowing that they have only beaten the other person though an exploit and not skill*!

I really do hope that these problems will be fixed, it is getting harder and harder to be in-game admin, as you constantly have to pause your game in order to warn/kick these idiots (at least in my case as admin).

* As I have read before, bunny hopping (and DD I'm guessing) does not affect your accuracy - exploit. And for anyone who says skill is not a factor, I say otherwise - try using your head to get out of a tough situation or gain an upper-hand in a fight.
