I agree about the Hummer, but the AA? I find on maps like Daqing Oilfield and Kubra Dam, ones with Mobile AA, it's damn near impossible to do anything in a flying vehicle. Fixed AA emplacements are a tad useless since most flying vehicles, jets especially, can just manuever out of range or view to avoid being shot. AA isn't useless, but we need more infantry-oriented AA, say a stinger missile or something for AT.

I agree with the stingger missile, if EA could reward players with a good unlock that unlock would be a stinger missile for the engineer or anti tank kit to replace some other toy. I just wish they did the Eryx and a Stinger missile like JO, forced lock on with high damage with secondary weapons like an AT-4 which is basicaly like an RPG/LAAW with no lock on requirement.
I also find the AA guns usefull on Daqing oilfield and another map or two for BF2 and ghost town(i think) and surge for SF but overall they feel a bit ineffective.

EA won't give handheld anti aircraft weps. They would be too overused. I mean whichever kit they would given to, even engineer, would be overplayed I guarantee you. The ability to shoot down BHs loaded with players (i.e. loaded with kills) and to one shot infantry on the ground (like what ppl do with AT kits now) would be crazy.

AA is going to be more effective they tell us, if so, we don't need handheld weps.

And im not any kind of bunny hopper, dolphin diver or noob tuber, but its stupid to not let us jump and fire. You can jump and fire in real life, not accurately, but still. They should have just removed dolphin diving and bunny hopping, and things would be cool.

Besides in the end it won't have any effect anyways:

You see a noob tuber. He shoots and misses. He jumps up and down while you empty your clip into the wall and then he stops jumping and puts a nade into your face.

Besides, they did't say they would fix bunny hopping did they? I thought it was prone spamming and dolphin diving.

Just find a good clan and play with them, that way no new a-holes come to ruin everything and you get to play some real competitive games too.

maesto you are such a noob man, bunny hopper are part of the game, as are dolphin divers and "noob tubers". you are just one of the hundreds of noob pubstars who complain about anything to make them feel better after getting owned. its all part of bf2. its like saying awpers in counter-strike ruin the game, both are compltely wrong

I dont complain you are mistaken. As to the fact of my noobness, its non-existant. I dont whine and bitch and call for patches because I get killed by a nade launcher a few times in a round. I just beat them at thier own game. I never said it ruins the game. Where are you getting this ****? I bunny hop when reloading or to get away from a tank/apc or if I cant spot the person firing but I rarely do so in combat. So ya I've know its a part of the game for a long time now.

Personally nade-launchers need to be changed. Arming distance needs to be added, almost everything else in the game is true to its mechanical counterpart in rl. Design wise nade launchers were not meant for CQB. If you don't like what I am saying too bad. Thats what happens when a viedo game company uses rl weapons in thier game. They need to stay true to rl function. Just like the M95 should be a 1 shot torso kill? Too powerfull for the game? Why lame it down to fit it in and dissapoint people? All in all if everything remains unchanged I won't give two flying bitch-wipes. I just play and have fun regardless if someone bunnyhops or not.

The quality of play has become so degraded it isn't even fun anymore---and I used to love this game--it used to be a great one----- Choppers with double the armor of Tanks/APCS--- practically invincible jets---tanks that can't go up a low grade without sustaining damage--weapons that overheat in 2 seconds---30 to 40 percent(if not more) of the players exploiting glitches--dolphin divers bunny hoppers----blatant stat padding---despotic admins and overall abusive & exploitive clan servers---players punishing without blinking an eye--etc,., etc.,----it is all too much---Plz EA, save this game before it goes down the tubes and you lose dedicated quality players such as myself, who just aren't going to participate, support or purchase anymore products from this franchise until blatant, negative issuse are corrected-

I think you have just been seeing the recent increase in what I like to call "Christmas Noobs". The Xmas Noobs are exactly what you think they are...They got the game during December and are learning how to play on ranked servers instead of trying single player first. It happens with every single multiplayer PC game that comes out. It's not a bad thing, it's just very frustrating.
As for the clan servers, it's really hard to find a decent clan server with fair/mature admins. A lot of servers end up having the most inane rules. For example, You cannot use a jet if your team has all the bases capped, you cannot use C4 if your team is winning by 50+ ticktes, etc. I have actually seen servers that scroll rules by in green text that number all the way up to 30. Sure they are paying for the server and they are not cheap by any means, but who the hell is going to play on a server with a couple hundred rules that take ALL the fun out of the game?
My advice, get used to it, find about 5 solid servers that are run by mature players and stick to those, or ask around here for good servers..

Nah seriously I was on Gamespy and some guy was moaning that his PC wouldnt run the game... he was using a 1800+ 256mb of ram and an FX5200... these games do have a manual and tech support, so why can't idiots use that instead of asking us the same retarded questions 10000 times.

Personally, I'd like to lay prone on the side of a building on Warlord, as the Insurgents, and shoot at M1's with my RPG, without having the rocket blow up in my face.

Should infantry get Stingers, or man-portable IGLA's? No, the splash of the current AA missiles makes it a GREAT anti-infantry weapon, so at medium range, a Stinger-equipped Infantryman would be VERY powerful against other infantry.

the fixes that they say are implemented in the upcoming patch could be completed by a mod team in a matter of hours. Don't let them fool you by thinking they are working hard on it.
