No more water splash

Problem: After a total wipe and reinstallation of BF2 and the Special Forces expansion and the 1.12 patch, I still do not see splashes in the water when I shoot bullets into it. I noticed this after the first time I installed the expansion. Before I had the expansion, I could see splashes. Splashes do not appear in original BF2 either now.

ur video card is weak, so prob the effects are set on low

Well I could see the effects before, when I didn't have BF2:SF. Are you saying SF requires higher GFX specs, and therefore I can't see it now?

i dont have sf, so i can be totally wrong, but im pretty sure that when u played BF2 ur video settings had effects set on medium, and now it is set on low. you can change it in ur video settings under options.

and i think sf does take up a lil bit more system resources since its newer and in the readme, it put a lot of graphic cards to be default low in the video settings but u can always customize it to ur liking

there is no more splash in the water when you shoot the water anyways i think the patch change that

Just checked now, settings weren't changed. Everything is still on medium.

cuz alot of people complain about it i have everything on high and i dont have it my friends have everything on high they dont have it and alot of people said they dont see it

When you reinstall big games like BF2, sometimes your RAM screws up, and this can lead to game malfunctions. If you have a programme to check your RAM then check it, I will post the link for downloading a programme when I find it, lol, I can't remember what the URL is at the moment but I'm pretty sure there's something on www.majorgeeks.com

o well i wish it was there but i can live without it
