Hey guys, well the truth is, it was the patch, the whole patch, and nothing but the patch, I downloaded it for normal BF2 and BOOM! No water splashes! It really buggs me, the reason Hat for it doing it as soon as you installed SF, you got SF and installed patch 1.12 for the first time no? well if you had installed the patch for vanilla BF2 it would've done the same thing, I hope I cleared this up if not the people who posted before me.:)

i dont see a splash anymore with small firearms. i run on all high and also have sf

Its just the patch for some people... When I installed BF2 there were water splashes. After the patch, no more splashes. I also have SF.

Noooo!!! They took the splashes away... I bought the game entirely for the splashes... Errr, I run on all high and I don't really pay attention to the splashes. I prefer getting headshots on other peeps not splashes of water.

It's definitely something that happened with the 1.12 patch.

Personally I see the watersplashes like normal, however they don't show when using small firearms like pistols.

yeah i used to have splashes with all weapons but not anymore. Only the bigger guns(ie-minigun on BH, chaingun on planes, etc etc) its just he patch because it cant be my card. 7800GT all settings high 1600x1200 res.

Yup same here, had splashes now they're gone. I have my settings on high along with SF.

I just kinda wonder, how the graphics SEEMED to get worse for people, and the performance did too. Because, you would think if the graphics got worse the performance would get better? not that it makes a difference for me.

you should talk, your computer is garbage too. even without my new ram and graphics card my computer trounced yours.

also, whats a xeon?

i have everything on high except textures and still get water splashes. how the hell would you notice if you didnt?

xeon is a type of intel processer used in servers. like pentium 4, is for home computing and such, xeon is like AMD's opteron. Though it can be used in regular computers if you want.
