nope, not bored yet. Depends on how many hours you play it, I'm only clocking up 5 or so hours per week, so its still fun...

Yeah, I got bored, so last week I finally bought SF just to get the unlocks. I had a blast with the new guns for a couple of days, but now the thrill is gone, so as a last ditch effort, I'm thinking about buying a joystick and giving piloting a whirl. :)

            Re: Bored already?

I'm not bored of the game, I'm bored of the PEOPLE. About once a session I go back to vanilla and let me tell you what happens every time.

Any map with planes: They score the highest, and victory is determined by like the 5 people who arent constantly dying due to seiging (one force defends a flag, the other sends wave after wave of ineffectual infantry and tanks, heres looking at you; WAKE) instead these people are capturing flags.

Woah.. I've summed up basicly the whole of vBF2 in a single statement.. as you can see, seiging is a massive problem, particularily on public servers. Either way, both forces end up severely depleted, and a back flag gets capped anyway, so another castle run occurs.

Karkand, Sharqi and Wake are the most notorious maps for seiging.

You'll probably notice a lot more flexibility in the ways you can approach a flag in SF. It may seem linear at first, but if you can knock the runts together one can do serious damage to the enemy.

Before I rant any further let me say: the people are stupid, theres always ONE at least who tries to be funny to the commander (bear in mind i shoot these dicks for good measure). Without structure the game falls to individual skill of the combatants, and a little luck... and half the players got no skill.

Bf2 as it is is fine (with exceptions to bugs and exploits), its the people that are boring.

How many more times will I have to hear "negative" as a reply to an order, then see 'Other team wins (>100-0)'???

It makes me want to kill people.

                BF2, yes. BF2:SF, no.

Today was the first time since installing BF2:SF that I went back to BF2. Played Kubra Dam and Mashtuur City and it was boring as hell! No grappling hook to allow alternative routes, and everything feels so wide open and there's nowhere to hide. Also felt like just about everyone was using a hack, one hit kills all over the place and now 50% of the server is full of snipers!

                I think I'll stick with BF2:SF.

I know what you mean, I tried playing vBF2 and there is too many base rappers in jets! holy crap! Everytime I spawn, BAM! I'm dead.

The thing is that I also hate about vBF2 is no one likes to work as a team. No one joins squads, you see tons of people waiting at air bases... it's just chaos. It's also way to easy for a defending team to set traps... everyone knows where everyone can travel. In SF, your not sure if your safe or not as the enemy could come over a building any second.

I have a problem with commanders most of the time. In SF, the map with the sub pens... the commanders always arty that place! WTH! it's got a roof over the damn thing HTH is the arty going to hurt anyone!? I've been up on the roof on the place to end up finding like 3 supply crates . and also, a commander tried to kick me from the game as I was behind enemy lines, capturing a base, then he kept giving me orders to run way out of my way. I said to him on VOIP that I was busy and I would follow orders after wards, then he tried to kick me from the game! Saying to me F*** you (this is in chat, not VOIP).

I know that I am right **** of a man. 500+ tk on my record, and god knows what else. But even I avoid getting SL to run across the map, especially if he's one following orders.

You're right though, some commanders need a brain transplant, and I'd wager theres a few coms out there who've never actually played the map as a grunt.. hence the arty/whatever ontop of a roof (namely leviathon, iron gator, mass destruction and the asylum flag on Devil's Perch.)
