    Tickets above 300.

Do you want longer single round games ?
Is there a way to get the tickets above 300 on a ranked server ?

If not, why is it capped so low, everyone wants longer rounds, even with it set to 300 tickets were lucky to get 30 mins play.

    Why o why o why ?

    Sensible answers please...

      It can't be changed.

Wasn't it higher before the 1.01 patch came out. I seem to remember it being fixed at 300 with the first patch for some reason or another....

Ranked servers with a max of 16 players BUT hosting 64-player maps. This means that the game goes on for much, much longer than normal and is easier to get certain types of badges. There are pleanty of other such servers like this.

Paid for a 64 man server, so what the hell would i want to limit it to 16 ?

Why cant we just raise the tickets to 1'000 ?

Because of section 1d of the Ranked Server Agreement:
Server admins may not change any game settings defined as standard for ranked servers (ticket ratios, server password, round time, etc.)
Ticket ratio is dependant on the map size, not the number of players in game, or the max number of players. Having 16 players (or even 32 players) on a 64 player server will result in longer games, where people tend to have higher round scores.

Why can't we just get rid of the tickets? For a team-deathmatch?

You can do whatever you want, you just need to turn your server unranked,

I don't know why it's so hard to understand. Ranked servers are servers approved by EA to be on the stat collection system. Because it's on the system, they want to make sure everyone has a fair and equal chance. That's why they limit what admins can do so much.

If you make your server unranked, you can do virtually anything you want with it. Use custom maps, custom mods, setup custom scripts, custom rules...

Its silly that you have to go on a server with a few people to get some of the higher badges. Cos of the lack of people, they soon get to know wot your trying to do.. ie. knife badge..etc

64 player with 600 tickets would be great.

If you are skilled you can do it in a 64 slot server. You dont need infinite tickets to do this. There are hundreds of servers where you can get this taken care of.

it's my understanding that the ticket ratios must stay the same, but that doesn't mean they cant be changed.
a ratio is a relationship, not a set number

                      200 / 200 tickets has the EXACT SAME RATIO as 300 / 300

                      does it not?

                      so why wouldn't you be able to have 600 / 600 ?

Longer rounds via higher ticket counts would make it much easier to attain badges and metals that have "In a round" requirments. Thus, it would imbalance the system that Dice has put into place.
IE, you'd be able to get awards for where you play, not how you play.

i heard that they changed the tickets to go by the amount of players not the map size in patch 1.03. but Salad is saying different, can anyone confirm this?

Thats a good point. Technically EA couldn't do anything in this case. They would have to edit their server agreement before they took action.

a ratio is a ratio. You could still run your server at 1000/1000 because its still 1/1
