Noob, nub, newb, n00b, are all the same. They are just modified versions of noob. Nublet is kind of like the kid or childish term for the younger noob.

Then you have smacktard, scrub, tard, retard, etc.

I don't know if you quoted the right post but my point was that it's not smart to call a bad player "noob". He may have been playing for three years and has a bad day or just plain sucks.

And then there are those who thinks that noob etc means bad player.

I thought it was a generic British insult pronounced like n-uh-b.

Yeah, if the internet should have taught us one thing it is that age has little to do with "maturity". I've seen plenty of teenagers here who are more "mature" than grown men.
