I use a Logitech USB Rumblepad 2. It kicks butt, and the old problem of losing centering was just for the old Rumblepad 1 models (I had a few of them). The only drag is that they removed the throttle control, so you will need to use a button for throttle in birds.

I added an optical mouse to it also, that makes it better so I don't have to drop it to do some mousing.

I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, and I suggest you stay away from it. It's the worst joystick I've ever used. Loses calibration all the time and makes it quite hard to stay away from missles. Also causes you to crash from time to time.

I'm not sure if it counts as a joystick but I use the xbox 360 controller sometimes, it works well.

OK, thats what I saw in some of the reviews. Will stay away.

How do you use that? Can you do the same with the Xbox controller? Is it good for playing BF2 with?

            Thanks

Wow and I thought it was good. Either way, my attack 3 is fine for this game.

You can use a Xbox controller but you need a special adaptor that changes the connector into a usb cable. But the xbox 360 controller already has a usb cable (or at least the wired one does) so you can just plug it into your computer.

I use the good old Microsoft Sidewinder 2 series. They're the best, luckily I decided to buy one before they became "antique"

I have overviewed some of those Logitechs and Cybo's but they don't look good, they look too much "gadgety" if you know what I mean. The Sidewinder looks like a good old joystick :) It has all the nice buttons you need and no unnecessary ones (atleast for BF).

If you can find one from somewhere with a reasonable price I atleast recommend to get one! Maybe it will be a lot valuable one day LOL :p
