What Joystick to get?

OK, first off I am pretty sure this is the right place to post this but I am new the TBF2 so sorry if I am wrong.

Anyway, recently my joystick will not center correctly and I am planing to buy a new one. I am looking into getting a Saitek Cyborg EVO but I am not sure if this will be the correct buy. If anyone has any opinions about this joystick or any others please post. I will be using the joystick for flying planes and possible helos.

I used one for a while, but after about 2 months of solid use it developed a leaning problem when stationary - the spring wore out or something, b/c even calibrated the joystick sitting still would cause the heli to roll sideways.

Works for me. Whatever you get make sure it has twist yaw control.

I got told from alot of people that the logitech joysticks will die in 6-12 months of use because it wont center correctly.

Could somebody also please check the website above to see if it has that twist yaw control thing. I'm not completly sure. I looked onto that one because I saw alot of people talking about it so I just guessed it would have it. Its the thing where you can rotate the stick left to right, right? So you can do barrel rolls with your plane? Can someone please tell me i'm correct. Thanks.

I have an old Logitech Wingman Force which I got for free when my Win 98 PC had errors on the hardware. Lol. It's about 5 years old but it's really good and does the job very well.

^ Like I said, I've had mine for at least 5 years and I've never had any problems with it. Except the normal problems with other games being messed up by it, which happens with every other joystick I try. Seriously, it rules!

It works on XP, but I don't know whether they'll be making it. Hang on, I'll have a look.

Edit: Review Here's a review, I can't find anywhere that sells them. Possibly ebay? I don't know whether it's good by todays standards or not but I think it's quite good.

Its the thing where you can rotate the stick left to right, right? So you can do barrel rolls with your plane?

The twist yaw control is essential, not just for barrel rolls. It helps line up bombing runs, tighter turns, etc...The Saitek has it, "3D twist for rudder control". That one looks good. I considered that one but it seemed a little too modular. I wanted something a little more plug and play. No problems with my Logitech Extreme after ~1 year.

Dude...I can't believe this, just after posting this message my joystick goes to crap. It won't f*cking center !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get the other joystick...this 3D Pro sucks!!!

Anyone know how to fix this? It is deviating up.

It's not your saitek evo nor is it the top of the range logitech. It does the job fine, no differen't, just crap looks. I can shoot planes, infantry, bomb. If your looking for cheap standard joystick that is more than fine for this game, ship out 16 $ to new egg.

I will check it out but I still like the Cyborg EVO a bit more. I think I like the thruster a bit more on the EVO but it all depends if I wanna spend $40 or $70 dollars which isnt much so I think I will go with EVO.

Heh, I would have gone for the evo If I was a constant joystick user and was serious about flying. Either way your going to beat the guy whos using this beast:
