Right about the same, except for 8-10MB :)

On that note, I'd much rather the new patch actually fix problems and add useful features as opposed to "fixing" game play based on whiners. I'd much rather be killed by a dolphin diver enemy 5 times than a team mate 5 times because my tag is red.

I just read the post on the EA forum just now and I must say Im veery excited about the new patch now!

BF2/SF is a very good game and although I still play CS:S more I do enjoy playing BF2 alot ^^

Got ya. Exactly why I think the new "patch" is lame...DD, and BHing were not really problem, there's much bigger problems, and better fixes they could make.

BH whoring was lame from minute #1 and you know it. Ever seen Blackhawk Down? thats right, one mofo with an RPG blows the tail off the BH and it crashes.

The problem isnt a lack of realism, and I'm aware real BH is armed with gatling guns, but come on, seriously, these helis can blow up 13 tonne APC's with those pea shooters, and survive 2 or more tank shells to its bloated form before it kisses the dirt.

The patch will make or break peoples game, quite simply and heres why: those people who rely on DD and BH or blackhawk whoring or WHATEVER will find themselves suddenly without a tactic. Those who either used these techniques sparingly or never (like me) can only get better, since, after all, the function wont exist AT ALL, and that leaves room only for improvement.

I actually disagree, if it was the actual game they were designing they should be able to take as long as possible, but with patches I think they should fix one major bug and then add it as a patch, then fix another major bug and add that as patch, and continue to do that untill there are no more bugs to fix.

Well I actually disagree with you on this. Developers often find it more efficient and qualitative to lump many fixes into one release. It can save loads of time on integrated functional testing. Preparing for deployment of a release also takes time and resources. From my experience, if they took your approach fixes would actually take longer to deliver.

It saves more money to have the developers fix the critical bugs and then the cosmetic bugs. I guess it would all depend on the company as well. If you had a method of delivering the patches faster, like say "Steam" the process would not be nearly as frustrating to some. I'm just not convinced that the game will improve with that new patch. From what I have read in here, the skill level will not matter much afterwards.

Seriously, you cannot expect to have someone that just started playing a week ago and a person that has played from the beginning playing at the same level. That is just unheard of. Someone will almost all the unlocks and knowledge of the maps against someone with a week's worth of expereicne maybe 10 hours at best would not be on the same level at all. That is one reason the BH/DD thing was really blown out of proportion.
