I actually disagree, if it was the actual game they were designing they should be able to take as long as possible, but with patches I think they should fix one major bug and then add it as a patch, then fix another major bug and add that as patch, and continue to do that untill there are no more bugs to fix.

Understood mate. However, this is not Steam we are dealing with. You are thinking Counter Strike Source all the way without even saying it. Unfortnately they are 2 different animals entirely. In a perfect world with no pressure and unlimited resources and unlimited access to programmers I would agree with you. But I hardly think Dice is going to hire just anyone to fix a game they know is lacking in some areas.
I may be wrong about the following, but I understand that there have beena series of different programmers working on the game since its inception. This means that one hardly knows what the last one did or where he f**ked up if at all. So, if patience is all Indian Scout and the rest want, then patience they shall have.
Besides, when they do finally release the 1.2 patch. I am sure a load of unknowledgable arsemonkeys will start bitching about that too. Programming is not a quick and easy job. It takes an immense deal of time, energy, motivation, and skill. In the mean time, it does no one any good to complain about it. They are not going to step it up because 3 people started crying and crapped their diaper...

YAh I can wait- It's funny people act or seem to respond to news about the patch bugs like this game and the entire process is easy to program and manage----Dice isn't evil and neither is EA----they want this to succeed not fail and make money at it as well----Despite the present bugs- this game is amazing---best I have ever played-----would I love for the patch to be out tomorrow? Sure--but I can wait...especially if it is going to make the game better,which I'm sure it will(just better have a damn cool sniper unlock)

You hit the nail on the head Jagermeiter. BF2 is an awesome game, even though it has bugs. So what? I mean no other game lets you play as all sorts of classes, fly aircraft, drive tanks/apc's, etc.

Edit for the mentally challenged: Aside from the previous releases based on BF1942...
