Well that just p*sses me off! :laugh: I checked and as far as I can tell I didn't get two badges on the same day. I have 22,546 points now, so I don't think it's going to promote me. Crap.

yes, I got 1st Sergeant last night, so it doesnt matter if BFHQ says that your next rank is going to be for Master Sergeant, it still gives you 1st Sergeant. and let me tell ya, the world looks very different after ranking up lol

i just got my first sgt. promotion, but the funny thing is i had the requirements for veteran knife badge but only recieved basic. do i have to go reearn this bage to get veteran?

Yeah I got my vet and basic at the same time and was accredited for both. I got first sargeant no problem.

you had the 50 kills for Vet but did you get 7 kills that round when you got the basic? seems to me you just need to get the 7 IAR and youre set for Vet Knife badge. I still need 27 more kills, so I am headed for Devils Perch and a very dark alley. Also, If you entered that round on the dec 20th when you got your Basic and didnt have the 50 kills, but got 50 by the end of the round, even if you got the 7 IAR you still wont get the Vet. You have to have 50 at the start of the round.

You people deserve not to be promoted to First Sergeants because nobody can get veteran and basic knofe badge in the same round without stats padding. It took me 3 days to get the basic one. So stop complaining cheaters!

Of course they can tard. You need 50 total knife kills + 7 in a round to get vet, you need 7 in a round to get basic. Hence if you have killed 100 people with a knife, but never 7 or more in one round, as soon as you kill those 7 you will get both. Dumbass.

You people deserve not to be promoted to First Sergeants because nobody can get veteran and basic knofe badge in the same round without stats padding. It took me 3 days to get the basic one. So stop complaining cheaters!

You seem to misunderstand the situation. In order to get the Veteran Knife you need to get 7 kills in a round and also have 50 kills with a knife already racked up and here is the BUT ...

BF2 thinks once you have 50 kills racked up and get your Basic Knife 7 kills in one round you get the Veteran Knife badge AND Basic Knife, so you get two awards at the exact same instance. So it could be seen as a little flaw, you get the Veteran Knife without already having Basic knife earned separately. No stat padding required, I put in days of work to get the knife kills but could never get the 7 in a round, it was always 6 and then it was too late, I had above 50 knife kills and was worried I was going to suffer from the old promotion bug. It works the same in other Basic/Veteran combinations too. So the old bug was BF2 didn't recognise the Basic Knife because you had earned the two at the same instant. Anyway it looks as if that issue has been ironed out now and it recognises Basic Knife and thus the promotion.
