All you have to do to test it is open BF2, check you global and commmander score, start a game and only play commander, then log out and look.

You do get the points stated at the end of the round added to your global score. AFAIK, the commander score is not the same as the points you earn at the end of a round when you were commander, it is the actual commander points you earn during the round. The points you get at the end of the round is an average of your team's score, that's why there is a discrepancy.

If you play commander the entire round, the points that show on top of the commander screen at the end of the round is the same that will be on the scoreboard (unless your team wins, then it's 2x).

So what you said still doesn't explain why there is a discrepancy in Sgt_MaxPower's score. I am thinking it's a glitch in the site or that you only get the base points you earn as a commander added to your global score and not any bonus points for winning.

Didn't mean to mess with you qwero, but as far I I knew commander points don't actually contribute to your *global score*. I don't know my stuff, but people seem to be missing points, etc. I'm sure it counts but I don't think it shows up on bf2s, that's all.

That's not true, the score at the end of the round is an average of your teams score, and I think a few other factors. There have been various threads covering this very topic and extensive testing has been done.

The most logical explanation I have read is that the commander earns the average of the teams earned points. If some one tks a team mate, the commander won't have their score reduced because of the negative points.

Actually it doesn't matter as much how the commander earn points, my question is why don't they ad up on bf2s.com?

they do, command points are not the same as global, team or combat points.
