Don't freak out over the badge.... Just play all knife, relax, and have fun with it. Not every round is gonna pan out well for the badge you're going for.

Thanks to the many pieces of advice around here I finally got it. Basically it's pretty simple :
- practice a lot
- use a class that has a good armor to rush your opponents while they fire (and miss because of recoil and not being prone)
- look for sneaky guys trying to circle your position. Usually they don't look much around them once they think they are in a good camping position

On day, I had well over 60+ knife kills with no round with more than 4 knife kills. Then I played once on Sharki Peninsula after a whole afternoon trying for the damned badge (playing Assault/Medic). I connected to a server with a game ongoing. I spawned on a squadleader that was in a tough gun fight. The 2 guys that killed him didn't see me spawn and were too occupied to heal/resupply. Too bad for them. I thought "wow nice start..."

Then I decide to go for the TV tower: we were defending it and many SpecForces & Snipers were trying to blow up things or go prone on the hill dominating the seaside to snipe at players respawing. I spawned ont he helipad and

I spawned ont he helipad and base jumped/chute on the seaside of the tower. From there I climbed the hill, unseens from the sneaky guys, and got them one after the other by walking at below the crestline and knifing them in the back. In the end I got 12 Knife kills and basic & vet badge as I already had more than the 50+ needed at the start of the round.

Try, try again, and die trying and you'll get it.

It's the same with the explosive badge. I got real fun blowing up snipers: I sneak on them, drop a C4 pack in front of them and I like that 2 seconds when they realize what is going to happen and you see them get up trying to get the hell out of dodge or kill you while you look at them, the detonating switch in the hand, smiling... BOOM

yeh dats wot happn 2 me... i was tryin 2 get mine on sharqi... i was down at the hotel and id just knifed 1 of 2 ppl when da 2nd 1 sees me, drws his knife and we had this 3 min long knife fight!!!! ROFL it was gr8 but it was ended when the MECs Mi-28 shot bothof us, TKing him....

7 knife kills is easy, i did that the other day at karkand, against spawn campers, squad leader and medic were last to go

This thread reminded me that I've had enough total knife kills to go for my vet badge... So I did.

Got it.
Still have a Knife K/D ratio of 2.53.

I got mine on Sharqi, if you can sneak onto the TV station when your team has most of the other flags, there will usually be a nice batch of waiting snipers :) I got 5 in one go, got killed, then came back and got another few. Easy knife badge in just a couple of minutes. I've only got 32 knife kills total so you can see it is really simple to get this, no need to run around spawn raping or dolphin diving like a tit scoring 5 or 6 per round.

I just got mine a few minutes ago, on Sharqi Peninsula, 64 players. Played as a medic for MEC. Really, it aint hard with these settings. Enemies everywhere. Just give it a try. Oh, and welcome to the forums, iambananas!

i've found the Sharqi map to be knife friendly as the buildings are ideal for knifing and also you'll find snipers for the easy kill. You can also sneak inside the TV station and knife the snipers on the roof.

Well I got this badge in about 3 mins time on ghost town.

Make sure the other team has the center point. Get on top of the buildings where all the snipers spawn. Knife 7 of them in the back.

Easy...I got it in one try...

I recently got my knife badge. You basically have to be lucky to get it. I played on a 32 person server on the map Masturr City. In Masturr City there is a point called the Mosque. If you're facing the flag with your soldier's back to the wall, there's a building to your left which anti-tank and snipers like to sit on and shoot down. Well, as a MEC player, there was a few guys and a tank on my team trying to get the Mosque flag and I ran up the stairs to that bulding where I found 8 guys all just camping with their C4, anti-tank, and sniper rifles. Well, with the cover from a near-by friend I sucessfully knifed all of those campers.

It was just out of luck and you have to be in the right map. Karkand is probably not your best bet to get the badge.

this may be a cheap way of doing it.. but it works :P

As you're running around on 64 player maps, keep an eye out for inactive teammates at the un-capable spawns. If you see any that haven't move in a while, change teams and drive/sneak to the base and keep stabing the inactive player each time they respawn.

You'll also see a very mad player when they return :P

Listen to the advice here. I got it the first time I really tried. I was on Karkand and got two knife kills in a row from two people prone not paying attention, so I decided to go for the badge. Then I snuck down to the train wreck and just waited for people. Surprisingly, most people won't think anything of someone running around with them. They figure you're a teammate... It was VERY fun! :laugh:
