Talus (Any change on widescreen support issue?): Is there a chance we may see 16:10 widescreen resolutions officially supported in BF2 in the future?

Colin Clarke: This is something that is on our list but will not be coming for BF2 and is unlikely for 2142. I do not have the intimate details on widescreen for 2142 at this time.

I don't really have a need for WS but I think that you guys that invest in a WS monitor deserve the support. I mean what do gamers have more of?
X-FI cards or WS monitors? My guess is WS monitors!

the ONLY way to get companies to support wide screen, and support makers of wide screen is to have threads like this, showing the widespread uproar to non widescreen games.

It's best if no real widescreen support is offered - it will start a whole new slew of exploit-threads where those who do not have a WS will be mad that those who do have them, have a lot more peripheral vision in the game.

No wonder DICE leaves this one alone...

I've already stated a few times and OFFICIALLY there will NEVER be WS support in BF2. This is the official word from Colin.

The new WS applet from TOCA-edit is promising...but it needs to be accepted by PunkBuster. When that happens, I'll let everybody know.
