I don't really have a need for WS but I think that you guys that invest in a WS monitor deserve the support. I mean what do gamers have more of?
X-FI cards or WS monitors? My guess is WS monitors!

Colin Clarke: This is something that is on our list but will not be coming for BF2 and is unlikely for 2142. I do not have the intimate details on widescreen for 2142 at this time.

There is NO REASON not to support WS. Their biggest argument is that it gives us an unfair advantage.....bullshi*. If they think letting us see 2 more inches is that big of a deal then they need to stop their crying. That is just selfish. Right now, 4:3 users have an advantage!!!!! WS users have to either suffer with stretched low queslity crappy image, or lose field of vision with the hack that basically zooms in your view to allow WS. Either way, someone is going to have a small advantage, and right now its the 4:3 users, and there are a lot more of them so wtf. WS are getting screwed.

I WILL NOT BUY THIS GAME UNTIL IT SUPPORTS WS PROPERLY!

its been known for a while their wasnt going to be WS supp so why do people think that potitions/boycotts will make a difference.

If your gona cry about that then you need to stop playing video games. Youd rather have all WS users have to suffer with low quality and decreased FoV just so that we dont see you coming 1 second before 4:3 users? Oh and by the way....this is how it is for 4:3 users right now. WS users LOSE FOV with the hack that makes us be able to use WS, so you guys have the advantage, how is that fair. Supporting WS will only SLIGHTLY benefit (no more than 4:3 users benefit now) WS users, and 4:3 users lose nothing.

Also, your opinion is based on the fact that our hardware gives us that slight edge. You can say that about ANYTHING in a computer. People with better video cards can see enemies more easily and further away. People with T1 connections will have no lag and can dominate the field. People with overal more expensive/better computers will be able to see things faster and react faster than people with lower budget computers. So dont cry about us having a wider screen and being able to see a LITTLE bit more left and right.

Secondly, if you dont think petitions/boycotts have power, then you have a lot to learn in life. Maybe going back to school (or finishing it/ paying attention if your still there) might help you realize that.

edit: oh and almost all new games support WS. Battlefield is the ONLY one of my games that doesnt. Even professional gaming tournaments and leagues allow the use of WS. Apparently they dont think the advantage is significant enough, so why does DICE/EA?

Yes Dice said there will be no WS support, that is the reason of the petitions!
If Dice said 'yes we will support WS' there would be no reason for a petition.
Think about it

If your work sudddenly cut your pay in half, and said 'we are not supporting your old wage structure anymore'. Would you just accept it? or would you protest it?
I guess you would just say 'thats the way it is, why bother convincing myself otherwise'
