We all know FPS's as behaving like a military type guy or Swat. Going out getting the bad guys or taking on the challange of other players. Today games like Ofp, Joint Ops, Swat4, Ghost Recon, Rainbow6 and also BF2...etc has brought on a whole new level of game play online. But mostly I consider Ofp #1 of a whole new level of play types. Huge maps and endless about of gameplays in one game. Racing, CTF, Koth, and my best Capture and hold (Cities), etc. The one thing missing online from the all these, is being a hostage, or POW. Waiting to be rescued or being captured online in a battle. I know for one I will consider myself going for being a hostage and taken to a prison camp in a game just to give that lift. But I think the majority of players online will not, and prob disconnect. And if a squad or team rescues the Pow or hostages, huge points would be given, along with the players who were captured then rescued.
The one thing that gets me in BF2 and even SF. If you sit back and watch the battles. You will shake your head in discust. Everyone running around in all directions like their is no tomorrow. Some going that way, others going that way. Some in vehicles going this way, and others going that way. It is chaos. No strategy at all. The commander may force squads to a direction, but no one follows, or some do. If they took away flags and only have one spawn point on each side of the maps, or should I say one spawn point to hold off the other side, and the other side to gain ground using percentage instead of ground cover, instead of amount of flags. Maybe gameplay would be a lot differerent. And also the commander will know how to move the men (Squads) around better to achieve ground or hold off the enemy. I know when the game starts, I right away go for a flag for our team to respawn at. Noticing that is how the chaos starts. So changing to percentage of ground gained, the other side loses tickets.
Now, lets say if all players had no respawn. Only one life in a game. I wonder how it would be?
