Should killing someone in a vehicle give more points?

As the topic says, should you get more points; say 4 instead of 2, for killing someone in a tank, jet, helo, etc. I think this would make more tank on tank battles and stop spawn camping to a certian extent. As it is, why whould a jet pilot bother with the other jet when he can kill dozens of infantry? Spawn camping/base raping is just so much more effective right now, killing vehicles helps your team but not your score. This would also help AT guys get more points for doing what they do best. :)

    Thoughts, opinions?

Yes, it gets my goat when you spot in a tank and you know a one of your tanks is round the corner. Yet they dont do anything about it. While your men fly all over the map from the big gun. I thought thats why the 'spotted' command was for. ...I wounder for its really for??

It would be nice if every person you ran over in a jeep; their head would appear on your bumber. Now that would look classy !!! a row of 5 heads :)

Makes perfect sense really, invariably it takes a lot more effort to kill a vehicle. Not so much as a pilot, they even get a helpful box telling them where everything is.

I agree, HOWEVER, people often get out of their vehicle before it blows it up. This weakens them and makes it easier for a teammate to kill them. So, if someone else kills them after you got them out of a vehicle you should get an assist point. This would be REALLY hard to implement though and could result in a lot of undeserved points even without stat padding.

It depends on what you use to kill them. I posted a proposal a while ago that gave varying points for kills based on what the killer and victim were using at the time.

I'm not going to bother finding it because search stinks and I don't want to scroll through pages of posts.

I have noticed that if two AT's hit a tank, only the one that delivers the killing round gets the points, the other in the volley gets nothing, not even an assist. I think they should raise the points to four, and have a two point assist, if not, at least teh standard two and the one for assist.

                  good idea,

on the topic of tanks i think if you are AT and you send a final missile at the tank and he bails and a teammate gets in you should not get a tk but still the points you would get for killing this tank, it's happened to me many times and i dont like my TW score being -4 and -4 of my combat score, looks bad.

I think it's a good idea to give double points to infantry killing someone in a vehicle. Vehicle vs vehicle is fair so it should stay the same.

It's a good idea in principle, I guess the only danger is that people might never get in a tank again, the world and his mate will be all out to get them in order to get the increased points !

True, people would stop getting in tanks because they wouldn't want other people to get higher points, and plus i bet people would camp vehicles with c4 and explode the c4 when someone gets in. It would cause some problems.

But why would I want a massive tank battle when I can go spawn camp and get triple the points?

Great idea, too bad it will never make it into the game

happens to me all the time that ill get a tank on fire nearly ready to blow then someone will spawn and steal my points (very annoying especially when I've died 2 or 3 times trying to take it out)
