Re: Why exploiting the BF2 squad system sucks

Omg , I think the topic starter has been ownd.
by some very good teamworked hopping squad.

Most people who are complaing are just pwnd by a good squad

    and learn the word exploit...

the only exploit was c4 chunking( the swiching of detonater without seeing it) de and wall glichtes (karkand exploit)

if they maked the detonater, I would happy becaus that would mean they can't use it as an exploit.

but instead they make the range shorter and all pff

Well, that's serious squad hopping but I do it with mates at a different level...
ie. I'm SL with my 2 mates SMs. I die for some reason and one/both survive, I leave then rejoin that squad to keep the attack going....

I wouldn't call it an exploit, but it does give you the upper hand. And, a few guys have said, it's not limited to one team....Both can do it.
In the end it's a game.....And people don't like losing, hence they use everything in their power, legally I might add.

Wait, this is a different scenario than the original poster mentioned. What you describe above is EXACTLY the right way for a squad and squad leader to operate. The SL hides while his squad attacks the objective. There is no advantage to having a squad leader if they go into a enemy CP and die.

My personal "favorite" is having a squad leader use a plane to bail somewhere and then have five people spawn on him.

It'd be nice if DICE could implement a way to keep people from just using squads as mobile spawn points. It would certainly make it more strategic than "spawn squad 7 to cap airfeld!!!1"

I have to agree with the OP with a caviat. By definition, it is considered a tactic but IMHO it is based on a flawed system. Can't please all the people all the time so I'll go on hoping that a great mod out there deals with this like Realism Mod perhaps.

An attacking squad can do it but so can a defending one. It makes a battle way more intense. Hard to find anyone that knows how to do it antway. (talking public servers) In a clan match, you should know how to do it and kick ass at it or die. I like it and I think it is what separates BF2 from a lot of other games.

Re: Why exploiting the BF2 squad system sucks

This has been the way that the squad feature of Battlefield 2 has worked for nearly a year. And now you want it changed? Please. I'm so sick of this game morphing with each and every patch into something completely different. Just keep it the way it is and deal.

It's not like squad hoppers end up getting more points at the conclusion of a round. All it's good for is to maintain mobility without having to continually spawn at the next nearest friendly CP.

Sure, I squad hop and squad cycle. If I see a single squad leader trying to take a flag that happens to be of a different squad than my own, I'll join him briefly to help take the flag and then rejoin a different squad that needs help. If I'm the squad leader and I end up dying trying to take a flag (or even uncappable basecamp, for that matter), I'll leave and rejoin the squad in hopes of being able to spawn at that location again.

Kind of like real life- once the leader dies, the next-in-command takes over the leader's role.

Re: Why exploiting the BF2 squad system sucks

I think people here in this topic are flawd.

                  Because

1.clans use they systeeem wise. instead some other pub players
who get ownd by a clan who use the squad systeem

                  2. It give you a good change to attack attack attack attack
and take the flag because you and your team are linair in attacking a flag. (flexible)
( I mean, by that you don't have to walk over again because your squad leader is dead)

3.if it was a exploit, why can everbody use it

4.people say it's not a strategic, that you are wrong because you use they systeem squad very wise, to overpower the enemy.
with your tacktick by spwaning at the mobile spwan point

also it give the clan, to make 2 squad to give presuare against a flag by attacking from two squads.

5.suicidal idiots running?? people who use this systeem, are often better in thinking then you. because they use the fuction for 100% instead 50%.

                  6. some people are just lazy, I think if they not want it to use it for fully 100%

                  7. also REMEBER It's noet flawd because i can remember. first time playing.
that the help voice saying if you leave the squad blabla you next teamate will be the squadleader.

so it's not flawd it all

                  (sorry for my english)

The correct term isn't "exploit" --- Its called "TACTICS". Using the SL system to its full power allows for incredible tactics in matches....you have to make sure an area is completely clean before capping a flag, and in 5v5 infantry matches we've been able to pull off things with the SL system that have allowed us to get to flags faster than our opponent / etc...

I wouldn't hold my breath on them doing anything to this, the way it is used in matches (and even pubs if enough guys from 1 clan are in there) is a result of good thinking. Punishing people for out-thinking you is stupid.

This smells just like one of those "I've been pwnt by ________, therefore it is overpowered and needs to be nerfed." threads...

                    Agreed. ^^

Re: Why exploiting the BF2 squad system sucks

how does it require teamplay skills?

its a simple matter of looking at the map and clicking the correct "Join" button?

using my suggestion would actually ENHANCE teamplay skill. Does that compute?

To "squadjump" and get rewarded for it definately requires a good TP, how everyone works together, listens to eachother etc etc.

Teamplay because your continu helping your buddy's with this tacktick
Skills because don't forget to leave and rejoin the squad if you are dead.
