but its 100 % better then a 7800, ( ofcours new videocards will own xbox360, but that will take alot of time and money, dont forget its omg expensive )

i buy a xbox 360 ( used for 2 weeks ) for 250 Euro - my playstation 2 = 130 Euro OMG, 130 Euro for a thing thats better then my pc ? lol

a 7800 GT is now 303 euro and then i need ram for some game i need to play it on high, stupid dice omg 2 gb ram is insane, no other game use that !

The 7800 w/ 512 is better than the PS3's rsx card.

nope, the xbox GPU is better then ps3 but the CPU of the ps3 is better then xbox 360

but you must look to the games, if you buy a xbox game, you know 100% sure that i will run good with the max FPS

when i start up BF2 for the first time, i went to video settings and mess with it

then its laggy , back to options etc. etc.

and the game makers have only 1 hardware to test , the xbox 360 and not 1351365 gpu's cpu's you name it ! ( thats why they want to make more games on consols because it earns better, and to make it is low cost for them )

bf2 takes 4 years to create but bf2 mc ? anyone knows ?

The 360's graphics aren't better than the PC's... lol.

What video card does it have? Surely not a 512mb 7800GTX.. lol. Why is it so cheap? Because its nowhere near as good as a PC....

Woah. You say you went to video settings, started it up, and it was laggy? So your basing a game on what you can't play. Cmon.

wrong, the original xbox barely went over 30 fps. While PC games have been going on with 100fps. The xbox360 has supposably enough power to run all of it's games at 60 fps. Wich it has been doing. But, as said in a gamespot review, Quake4 dips under 30 fps while the PC version can stay over 60. Pretty much, any game that is made for the console / PC right now, and running on a high end PC, will run faster on the PC. But microsoft loves to keep exclusives and never give the PC a chance to run games like Perfect Dark Zero ect.

How do you know BF2 took 4 years long? Even if it did, was that really wrong? I mean, we got BF1942 when? 2001? Ok, so it took 4 years, but we had expansions and Battlefield Vietnam in 2004! Plus, halo2 took '' 4 years long '' TO COME OUT. But the developers (Bungie) said they'd only worked on it for 9 months!

I'd also like to touch on this, yes pc developers have to optimise the game a bit to run on other systems, but do you honestly think it takes them that long to turn down textures and lighting effects put them as medium / low and be done? I don't think so.

Also, i'll take this quote from what somone else has said in another thread about '' PC versus console '' (i don't like to use somone elses' words and use them as my own.)

First of all, when a company develops a game for the PC, all of the profit goes to them. If they would develop that same game for say, an xbox, they would have to pay royalties to Microsoft. So, for every game sold, a portion of that profit goes to Microsoft. Because of this, a game that sells 100 thousand copies on a console could be just as profitable as a game that sells 50,000 on PC (those numbers are not accurate, I merely used them as an example).

I'm gettin my xbox360 in somewhere around march, ( sorry fellow pc fans, but i'm not missing out on halo3.. and the new xboxlive experience, i just loved halo2 on the original xbox, keeping my pc for QUAKE WARS though so either way i win i guess. Lol. And yea, those screens are pretty good, but still... CARTOONY.

a x1800 but cheaper console version so only a little better than a x1600xt

the ps3 graphics card will be better than the xbox 360s its based on the 7800gtx and has just a console version a bit like the 7800gtx go for laptop but with 512mb of video memory

The console is definately cheaper but as for graphics no matter how good the game can potentially look if you're using a standard TV you'll be stuck with really low resolutions.
And as was already stated you're going to have to use a gamepad with thumbsticks instead of a mouse, bye bye accuracy.

splinter, who says the person doesn't have a monitor capable of high resolutions? Some don't. It still isn't HD aswell, wich is what we're talking about.

splinter, i'm getting an xbox360, but all i can say is that you're making me change my mind. Your constant 360 rules is making me sick to my stomach.

It's not our fault you'll be missing out on great games on PC. Quake wars, UT 2007.. and Prey, ghost recon3, and oblivian are also comming out on PC. I'm personally getting the 360 for gears of war and perfect dark zero (i upgraded my pc to run 2006 games, but i'm still looking into getting more ram.. atleast a gig or 2). I'm not about to put my foot up my ass and not play them because i love microsoft.

The gpu is better, but in q2 2006 the new nvidia architecture, new cards, the 360 will be out-dated. Still good though. Most of the games on the 360 are also comming out on the PC. And i'm not about to deny that.

Oh and if your wondering, if one 7800 has 24 pipelines, you dual them, and you have 48 Lol. Not to mention the new dell can quad them...
