U know what i cant stand that idiot driving over a friendly mine. It is mostof the time in plain sight. unless of course ur 1 of those offroad guys which is asking 4 death anyway. OK i understand the i accidently ran over a mine because i wasnt paying attention. WELL DONT PUNISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
please respawn to this message i want to hear ur side of this debate.

Sometimes, it's not his fault. The lag issue might cause him slow reaction to the situation.

I can't wait till next patch, then engy doesn't get punished for a mine tk at all. The only problem is engies putting mines on friendly vehciles on purpose.

I am convinced some people have an "Autopunish" feature on their game.

I really don't think people pay any sort of attention at all when playing. Just yesterday, on Kark, playing as sniper, at western spawn on Hotel flag, I drop a claymore in the alley and back off for a second for it to do it's thing. All of a sudden from behind me comes rambozo running straight into it. Ok, big bright red skull and crossbones, sniper standing right there, and you run head on into it...and then punish, a true idiot.

I am convinced some people have an "Autopunish" feature on their game.

I think this may be a case where either the player who is given a choice to punish doesn't hit a key and the thing defaults to PUNISH -or- The newb doesn't know what to do.

Just a thought. Why they make PUNISH the default is beyond me.

I forgive almost all team kills. Most times I understand that accidents happen and a lot of times its my fault because I put my self in a position to get killed BY ACCIDENT by my team mate.

I only punish those that truely deserve being punished for team killing.

on the other hand no matter what If BY ACCIDENT i team kill because they ran in front of me while I was shooting, or jumped in front of my vehicle while I was driving they ALWAYS punish me. I have never been forgiven. NEVER. to me thats crazy because you know people playing can tell if its an accident or not most times. people just like to punish.

When i get team killed I really just want a "sorry" if I get it I don't punish. if they kill me and don't say sorry i punish unless it was my fault. in that case I forgive.

even when i'm punished I still say "sorry"

Can you tell me what is changing in the patch? I read the dev chat but didn't notice anything particualy in regard to the engy class. What evidence have you got? I remember I clan m8 of mine was ecstatic as we both thought they had eliminated TK punish on mines on the 1.02 patch, but it was just a rumour.

i had the worst experience playin as an engineer recently. I was an engineer and me and another guy captured a base together. As it was being captured a ton of enemy started moving towards the base. I realized we would be able to hold it so i lay mines by all the vehicle but one to we could fight. Meanwhile my team member is watching me as i lay mines. Right after i finish he runs into a vehicle with a mine next to it, and blows us up, and then he punishes me for a TK!!!!

I never punish when it is my fault. It is hard to say sorry, to the person who just lost points from you running over his/her mine, when your dead and waiting to respawn. By the time you do respawn, the TK'ers punish/forgive time is up. Right?

I play a lot on a server that doesn't allow you to punish. I don't think it punishes automatically either. It sucks if you are intentionally TK'd tho.
