    Re: what is dolphin diving?

I don't mind the dolphin diving (u can still basically pawn them when they do that), but I can't stand bunny hopping. Nothing worse than them jumping up and down causin u to lag and then ur tryin to follow them with ur crosshairs while dealing with lag...absolutely wrong.

I'm not complaining cause I know nothing'll stop it, its just I wish people would play with a little more dignity.

If you can give me an appropriate way to dive for cover, as I'm sure any of you would, please do, cause I don't think crawling prone for cover is really appropriate. So what, you dive over a wall, so what you take a hit and you head for the closest wall and dive your ass behind it.

I'm not denying the motion looks unrealistic, but there is no closer way to emulate diving for cover. So that;s the logic behind it. Although I thing maybe spraying some cover fire on the way is appropriate, using it as an attacking technique does certainly take from the game.
it's called running for cover and going prone jumping in the air to just to go prone is stupid and honestly it should hurt you when you do it

DD and bunny hopping are tactics I just can't get the hang of I really can't understand how people can be accurate and track targets while pressing mulitple buttons just to keep the noob jumping going

Yes, I run for cover, and as I get to the cover I'll take a dive down behind whatever Im going for, specially if it's low. Im not going to stop running, go prone, and then crawl in behind my cover.

Thats generally the only time I use prone and jump together, mainly because there's no other way to dive behind cover.

but dolphin diving can be very effective for getting around the place, like diving over a wall or into a window, so plz stop complaining is it honesty as bad as n00b tubers or BH whores

Oh but there is something much much worse, makes you want to break your spacebar key or something.

I can't say I'v had any dealings with dolphin divers, well maybe once but like on that video,I had the engineer gun and he got ****ed,I admit I go prone in combat alot but thats also because I use the PK alot, you try using the support class weapons while standing up or crouching and see if you can hit anything, especially when your fighting somebody with a G36.

I get killed by prone people mostly but that doesn't bother me because thats the most combat type thing, maybe I have too much dignity when looking for cover, whenever a tank finds me I sprint, not jump but sprint for cover, usually I escape, now I'v seen many people bunny hop away from me while I was in the tank, fortunatly I have either been on the other side or I killed them soon after.

Bunny hopping is bad for normal soldiers....but nothing is worse.....than a bunny hopping assault person with the GP-30 or the M203,and I don't mean just straight hopping,I mean hopping all around like a lunatic and using nothing but the grenades.

...I ...don't..know why it would be considered a bad thing...****..if I was in a situation in reality where I was being fired at i'd make a dive for it! Not a crouch or runO_O

Funny way you see things of the sort. DD costs! It costs even in real life. Would you believe that you can DD all the way in a 45 minutes fight, in the real battlefield. I wouldn't think so. DD is a way to evade but only for once and for every move.

I rather appreciate the rolling manuever though, what's the keys for that?

whole lot of people in this thread who got diving mixed up with dolphin diving, yeah we've seen/heard of soldiers "diving for cover" but that's not the same as dolphin diving whatsoever in fact dolphin diving is just about physically impossible unless you can bench press ten times your own weight.

Dolphin diving and bunny hopping both just abuse network latency and game mechanics. Its an exploit. I cant imagine that its the way the game was intended to be played.
