There are 3 options for commander to choose from
artillery, UAV, and satliate scan.
After you scan the battlefield, red dots are everywhere in the map, but those aren't visible to your team, only yourself. So, the question is: would you put your mouse to the red dots and click enemy spotted (which give the enemies position to your team) or just leave it?
It could probably help your team by locating the enemies :|:
but the constant radio commands would be a bit annoying to some ppl....
And half of the time, your team won't listen to your command where it is cruical to the win/lose....all they care are just scores and kills......
For example,
A few times, I was the commander of the USMC side @ Peninsula...
From the scan, I spotted a few MEC troops reaching for the TV station....
I made commands, typed dozen of msg and ppl just ignored me...
The TV station got taken by MEC and ended up USMC lose all the flags...
